Sponging Technique - Garden Wishes Stamp Set - Technique: Sponging

I really had fun making these samples of sponging to share with my club members last week!

Sponging gives you SO many choices for your stamps

I used a Sponge Dauber - sponged on ink and then "huffed" on the stamp to awaken the ink!

This card uses the Garden Wishes Stamp Set and coordinating Dandy Wishes Dies from the January-June Mini Catalog

My first time to use this stamp - LOVE it!

Dandelions - Sponging Technique - Stampin' Up Demonstrations for my club

Sponging is a great way to get multiple colors from your stamp!!

I made this card using the soon-to-be-retired Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set

Stampin' Up Monthly Club Meetings - Technique Sponging

I shared a couple idea on sponging with my club members this month!

First I showed how to coordinate colors

The background paper is from the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper which is not gone

But.....this can be used with any designer paper!!

I found the coordinating colors, cut out the butterfly in Basic White Card Stock and just sponged So Saffron and Just Jade to match the background

Love this technique!

I changed up the orientation - kind of fun!

We were able to meet locally for our March club meeting

This is such a fun card and SO easy to make

It's a gate fold and the "slide and lock" keeps is closed

Herringbone Technique; Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper

When I pay good money for designer series paper, I can't stand to waste any of it.

I actually keep it in the original packaging and keep all the little parts and pieces

I used some of these pieces of these cards

Love this paper and am hoping Stampin' Up will consider selling it!!

January Stampin' UP Club Meeting Demonstration #2 Gilded Leafing Embellishments

Stampin' Up just introduced the Gilded Leafing Embellishments 

You can see them on page 33 of the January-June Mini Catalog

I did a video on how to use them (see below)

Here's the card I made

and a closeup of the "look" of the Gilded Leafing on the flower

This stamp is a "two-step" stamp, so it works perfectly for this technique

You need to have something for the gilded leafing to "stick" to and Stampin' Up has reintroduced the Heat & Stick Powder

Works perfectly.

The nice thing about this is that you can use almost ANY adhesive to make this stick

Multipurpose Liquid Glue (green glue) - just let it sit - it dries tacky and the leafing will adhere

Mini Glue Dots

Tear & Tape Adhesive

Foam Adhesive Strips

Foam Adhesive Sheets

Stampin' Dimensionals

CAUTION!!

This is messy and the leafing will fly everywhere

Close your ink pads before opening the jar!!  Don't use your heat gun around it!!  

Yes, I've experienced everything!

Surprise Window Card - Snow Wonder

I had fun making these Window Surprise Cards

Here's one I made using the Snow Wonder Stamp Set

Isn't that cute?  And really quite easy!

Measurements

Start with a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 11" x 8 1/2

Score at 4 1/4" on the 8 1/2" side and at 5 1/2" on the 11" side

Cut out the top left quarter

The top right will have the circle cut out (I used the largest Layering Circle Die)

The bottom left piece folds in and the top right comes down over

Fun stuff!

And you can write on the bottom right

Surprise Window Card - November Demonstration

Here a really fun card I made

I saw this on a demonstrator facebook group shared by Miranda Mols-Heidanrath

And she found it on Jennifer McGuire's website

This is the card Miranda made

I changed it a bit and used different little animals

Start with a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 11" x 8 1/2

Score at 4 1/4" on the 8 1/2" side and at 5 1/2" on the 11" side

Cut out the top left quarter

The top right will have the circle cut out (I used the largest Layering Circle Die)

The bottom left piece folds in and the top right comes down over

Fun stuff!

And you can write on the bottom right
