June Club Projects

I'm a wee bit behind on sharing out club projects for June

Here's a stunning card, that was very popular!

I saw this on Kevin Theeson's site and it's called the Shutter View Card

Isn't that neat?  And SO easy to do!

Measurements 

Calypso Coral Card Base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Very Vanilla 5 1/4" x 4"

Inked Botanicals 2 pieces 4" x 4" and 2 pieces 3" x 3"

Here's a little tutorial

First is to stamp an image for the center and cut it out with the 1 7/8" x 1 7/8" Stylish Shapes Dies

Adhere this to the Basic White 5 1/4" x 4" in the diagonal

Next cut 4 strips of Calypso Coral 1/4" x 4-5"

Run a bead of glue down one side of the diagonal piece clear to the edge of the car

Butt up one of the Calypso Coral along the edge (it will hang over)

Now do that same thing on all 4 sides

It should look like this 

Turn it over and trim off the overhanging pieces

It should now look like this

Now take the 4" x 4" pieces and put them in the larger areas

And the 3" pieces in the smaller areas

Again turn them over and cut off the excess

and now it should look like this and you can mount it on the card base

SO easy, but SO effective
