I just had to try the Blended Alcohol Technique
I love this technique!!
Here's the card I made to share with my club members
Isn't the background just cool?
I used three colors of our Alcohol Blend Pens
Pale Papaya
Fresh Freesia
Soft Succulent
Supplies you will need for this card
Soft Succulent Card Base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Basic White Card Stock 5 1/4" x 4" and 5" x 3 3/4"
Card Stock Vellum 5" x 3 3/4"
Plentiful Plants Dies (macramé hanger)
Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper - cut pot and leaves
Rubbing Alcohol - at least 91% alcohol
Step 1. Using the lightest Blends color, here Pale Papaya, scribble on the vellum. Next use the Fresh Freesia and scribble, then use the Soft Succulent and fill in all the empty spaces
Step 2. Using the medium size Aqua Painter (or a thin bristle paint brush), dab around starting on the lightest color and then all over.
Step 3. Once you have dabbed all over, you can use a straw and spread the ink until you get the desired look
Step 4. You can also flick the rubbing alcohol around to get some varied colors
Once you have your desired look (everyone will be different), let the vellum dry. It doesn't take long, but you can dry it quickly with a heat gun
Adhere the vellum to the Basic White 5" x 3 3/4". Adhere this to the Basic White 5 1/4" x 4" and to the front of the card
Finish the card by adhering the plant pot, leaves and macramé hanger.
Here's the card before I added the finishing touches
WARNING!! The technique is VERY addicting

This is so pretty. Love this design idea. And I must say, I don't think I realized the blender pens were an alcohol mix pen. Something new for me to try.
