I love showing different techniques as demonstrations at our club meetings
I chose the Lattice Technique for April
I did this years ago and it was fun to bring it back
Isn't that stunning - the "lattice" or as some call it "basket weave" is SO gorgeous
It looks complicated, but is really very simple
You will start with a template. You can download a whole page of them here
This is essentially what you will use. Line this template up on the score line of your card base and cut
Note that every other cut is long - short
When you get to the last "short" cut, you will clip to the long cut and save that piece
Open the card and begin by taking the 3rd "arrow", folding it down and tucking it under the first piece
Do this with every other piece until you get to the top
Take the piece you cut out and add adhesive to it and place it at the top and under the diagonal
This is what it should look like when done
Fold this to the inside and you are done!!
What a fun project!!
