Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper

We recently had a stamping and scrapbooking retreat

It was SO much fun - 19 attended and we "social distanced", wore our masks

Everyone had a great time

Looking forward to next year!!

I wanted to share the cards we made

I offer a "kit of day"

To start with I'll share this Christmas Card featuring the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper

This is probably my favorite paper in the Aug-Dec Mini Catalog!

An easy layout - good for any kind of card and really features the designer series paper

Loves of Leaves Stamp Set and Stitched Leaves Dies

I saw this card and replicated it - I believe it was shared by Mary Fish

Such a quick, simple card, but love how it turned out

It's that stunning?

I just ran the leaf through the Die Cutting Machine.  It cut and "stitched"

Then offset the leaf!!

Easy peasy!!

Gnome for the Holidays - Halloween that is!!

I love the idea of using our stamp sets for many occasions

The Gnome for the Holidays is just such a set

It's perfect for the Christmas Holidays, but you can also use it for Halloween

I made this fun fold card using the Gnome - just colored his hat so you can't see the snowflakes

Isn't he cute?

And inside

To make this "fun fold" card you cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".  Score at 4 1/4"

Cut off 1" along both sides on the front portion of the card to the score line

Then just the center flips up!  Fun!!!!

Double Gate Fold Card or "Hot Dog Card"

I recently saw a "Double Gatefold Card" made by Sharon Armstrong

It's a beautiful fold, so I recreated it in current productgs

Isn't that pretty?  I just LOVE it

I just love the new In-Color Just Jade and it coordinates with the designer series paper SO well

September Club Meeting Demonstration #1

Every month for our club meetings I try to show a technique or a new fun fold

This month I found a great idea shared by Lisa Freeman

This is the "masking technique"

Very simple, but really effective, don't you think?

I used the Forever Fern stamp set and stamped the leaves in Balmy Blue, Highland Heather Mint Macaron

But first I used a piece of Post-it 658 Labeling & Cover-Up Tape

This is the coolest tape (recommended by Lisa)

I placed the tape over the center of the card front and then stamped.

Once I removed the tape, there was a great place to add a sentiment!

Don't you just LOVED it

Quick and simple and could be used with any stamp set and color combination

I used a piece of Whisper White Thick Card Stock cut 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

I added a piece of the Post-it tape (about 7")
