I first saw this technique on Dawn Griffiths site and just fell in LOVE
I shared this with my club members and visitors at our monthly stamp club meeting this last week.
and here it is up close
Isn't that stunning? and OH so easy to make
Start by stamping your image on a window sheet in Jet Black Staz-on ink
Turn the piece over and color in the image using Stampin' Blends
Once that is done and you have let it dry (doesn't take but a minute or so), then add some mini glue dots to the image (right on the colored areas)
Now add a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper
Cut this out with the framelit (or fussy cut)
BAM!! You have Glitter Stained Glass
TIP: After I stamped in the Black Staz-on, I had a hard time figuring out which was the front/back, so I added a piece of tear & tape (which was handy) to the
front side before I stamped, marking that as the front. You could also use a small piece of Washi Tape - then I could tell which was the back to color on!
Add the focal pieced to your card with dimensionals
On this card I used the Silver Foil-Edged Cards & Envelopes - my Whisper White piece with the sentiment and the Glitter Stained Glass is cut 5 1/4" x 4"
I just added that to the silver card - quick and easy and OH so effective
