Card Base 11" x 5 1/2" scored at 2 3/4" on both sides

Designer Series Paper 11" x 5 1/2" scored at 2 3/4" on both sides

Mark at the center on top and bottom at 5 1/2"

Inside Card Stock 3 5/8" x 3 5/8"

Whisper White 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"

Front pieces 5 1/4" x 2 1/2"

Belly band 12" x 1"

Gatefold Explosion Card - Club Project for May

I found this absolutely wonderful card shared by Dawn G

It's the gatefold explosion card

We made these in our club meeting this month!

This is the card we made

and the explosion

 

 
 This is definitely a WOW card, but SO easy to make

Measurements

Basic Black Card Base 8" x 4" scored at 2" & 4" 

Petal Passion Designer Series Paper 8" x 4" scored at 2" & 4"

Front panels cut 2 - 3 7/8" x 1 7/8"

Belly Band 9" x 1"

Basic Black for inside 2 5/8" x 2 5/8"

Whisper White for inside sentiment 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Instructions

Score both the Basic Black Card Base and the Designer Series Paper at 2” and 4”• On the designer series paper make two small pencil marks at the 4” on the 8” side both top and bottom 

• Fold up one corner to the pencil mark and burnish well with bone folder being careful to line up evenly along the top  

• Turn and fold the other side•

 
• Fold backwards along the score line back – when this is done and turned, there will be a “natural” well•  

 

• Do the same to the other side and then fold up into a square pushing in the top and bottom

 
• Fold on both score lines on the Basic Black.• Add adhesive to the back of the designer series paper and place it inside the card base

 
• Add adhesive to both “triangles” and fold in the sides of the card base and adhere• Add the two pieces of designer series paper to the front panels

 
Belly Band

• Wrap the 9” x 1” piece of Basic Black around the card and adhere with Tear & Tape.  Wrap it around snugly and not too tight as otherwise it won’t come off easily

 
• Stamp the sentiment for the outside on Whisper White and adhere to a Starburst Basic Black.• Add some dimensionals to the Belly Band and adhere the sentiment•  

• Stamp the inside sentiment on Whisper White and adhere to the Basic Black and to the inside of the card.  Remember to stamp the sentiment on the angle!!

June Stamp of the Month Kit - Varied Vases

The new catalog will be live this Friday and I can't wait.  

SO many beautiful things to see!!  

Wonder what the Stamp of the Month Kit is?  If you have ever purchased stamps and accessories and then didn’t know what to do with them when you received them, I have the solution.  You purchase the kit (at a discount), and I will send you the kit and three projects to do up immediately.  The kit includes the stamp set and whatever else I choose in making the card kits.  I don’t include adhesives, ink and stamped images (per Stampin' Up rules), and you can substitute what you have.  These projects are fun and easy to do.  I will send you a pdf file by email with the instructions and pictures for each project and the actual product to make three projects will be included in your kit!

So what is this little tin for?

There is a magnet in the lid

I can now set this by my Big Shot and my framelits/thinlits and they won't get lost!!  Yes, I have lost lots of little framelits!!  

This is the perfect solution!

The tin will work for stamps when I'm using the Stamparatus.  Again it's sometimes hard to keep track of all those little stamps (yes I lost the little flag from Swirly Bird!! Boo Hoo)

Isn't that just the sweetest and most useful gift?

Budding Stamper!

We are spending a few days with our sons and our granddaughter Brooklyn while her Mommy and sisters are out of town!

I brought along a few Stampin' Up supples so I could make up some of the new products I haven't had time to use!!

Brooklyn is 5 (soon to be 6) and we have never stamped together 

But....I think she's going to be a natural!

She wanted to make a card for her teacher, so we stamped the flower image in the Accented Blooms stamp set (coming June 1st in the new 2018-2019 Stampin' Up Annual Catalog!

Beautiful Petal Palette Card from a dear friend

I recently had surgery - something that was found when I was hospitalized in the fall

So on Monday, May 7th I had a complete hysterectomy

I'm doing really, really well - it really wasn't hard at all.  

I stayed in the hospital overnight - came home the next day and I was a bit sore, but that's all

A very dear friend sent me this card and I wanted to share as I love it SO much

Isn't that just a WOW card?

Linda P used the Petal Palette stamp set and the coordinating Petals & More Thinlits Dies

Can you see the gold figures in the background?  Those are the soon to be retired Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate!

I have to admit I have them, but haven't used them as much as I should!!

New Color Assortment Club Share

By now you have probably realized that Stampin' Up has done a Color Revamp this year.

 

Whoo Hoo - they have introduced 10 brand new colors and brought back six of the previous "In-Colors"

So 16 new colors 

AND they have revised all the color collections

You will notice that Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Whisper White are no longer in the Neutrals Collection

They have been moved to a "Basic Collection" which leaves room for more beautiful colors!
