But.....you can also make a little "pocket" 

Here's one I made - this was shared by someone and I now can't find the tutorial I used!

Isn't that just the cutest?  

You stamp and cut out two pockets.  

Cut a piece of coordinating designer series paper 7 1/2" x 3/4"

Stamp the center of the above piece with the dash stamp

Score the above piece 2 1/4", 3 3/4", 5 1/4" 

Adhere the two pockets together with the above piece

Add the handle (cut 6" x 1/4") and adhere to the inside with glue dots

The inside card to attach the gift card measures 3 1/2" x 2 5/8"

Really quite quick and simple

September Stamp of the Month - Wood Words

It's always hard for me to decide which stamp set and coordinating products to choose for each month

I love having your input, so if you have something you really want, please feel free to email your suggestions

For this month, we are going with the Wood Words Stamp Set and coordinating Wood Crate Framelits

Wonder what the Stamp of the Month Kit is?  If you have ever purchased stamp and accessories and then didn’t know what to do with them when you received them, I have the solution.  You purchase the kit (at a discount), and I will send you the kit and three projects to do up immediately.  The kit includes the stamp set and whatever else I choose in making the card kits.  I don’t include adhesives, ink and stamped images (per Stampin' Up rules), and you can substitute what you have.  These projects are fun and easy to do.  I will send you a pdf file by email with the instructions and pictures for each project and the actual product to make three projects will be included in your kit!  Plus I will include additional samples that you can use to create even more cards and projects!!

This is a set we were introduced to at OnStage in April - it's a stamp set for any occasion and the framelits are just darling

3.  Three projects ready to put together including the cut card stock, any dry embossing I use and all the embellishments and designer series paper!

4.   A pdf file emailed to you when I mail out the kits with pictures, step-by-step instructions AND additional ideas so you will be able to use your stamp set immediately!   I always include at least 10 samples so you will have tons of inspiration!

If you already have these products, you may substitute any products in any current catalog for the same price (to total $46.75).  The projects will be for the above products.  If you sign up for six months, the shipping is free.  Otherwise I will include $6.50 for priority mail shipping in your total.

Bridge Fold Card - Fun new fold!!

I have seen this bridge fold card online and so wanted to try it

It looks a bit complicated, but is SO easy

Credit goes to Lyssa Zwolanke for this great card

The neat thing about this card is that if folds flat to fit into an A2 envelope!!

Just a quick little tutorial

Cut your card base 8" x 4 1/4"

Score at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 5 1/2", 6 3/4"

Now you will need some mats - I used the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper 

2 - 4" x 1" (for the front pieces)

1 - 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" (for the inside)

If you do a mat for the center section that measurement is 4" x 2 3/4"

The "bridge" piece will be 5 1/2" x 1 1/4" (or what size you want)

Then you will use a coordinating piece of designer series paper which will be cut 5 1/4" x 1"

I used a piece of Copper Foil Sheet that is 5 1/2" x 2" as I wanted to accommodate the snowflakes from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies (new in the upcoming 2017 Holiday Catalog)

I will share more samples of these soon!!

Add your designer series paper, then fold the left side

Add some Tear & Tape to the ends of the "bridge" piece.

Adhere the bridge piece to the left side and then fold the left side and add to the right side - then fold the right side on the score lines

It "collapses" on either side to fit into the envelope!

This is a wonderful "3D" card

Painted Harvest Sneak Peek 2017 Stampin' Up Holiday catalog

It's been fun playing around with all the new goodies from the 2017 Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog!!

2017 Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek

On our Thailand Vacation, we were introduced to the 2017 Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog!

One of the first things I saw was the beautiful Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper

Oh my!!  Talk about in LOVE

This paper is literally music 

It is lightweight paper printed with traditional Christmas Carols

24 Sheets; 4 each of 6 doublesided designs.

12" x 12"

Some is white with black printing and some is black with white printing.

Perfect for cards AND for scrapbooking

2017 Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek - Christmas Quilt

One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator is that we get to order early from the catalogs!

What fun - my box came last week with products from the 2017 Holiday Catalog, but I was very busy with my retired sale and didn't get a chance to play
