I used the Daisy Punch for the flower and added some of the brand new1/4" Double-Stitched Daffodil Delight Ribbon.  And can you see the Gold Faceted Gems in the center of the flower?  Gorgeous!!

Shoebox Swaps at our Demo Get-together

It's always fun to get together with other demos and we have been doing this each month lately.

I LOVE these gatherings because I enjoy doing cards and projects designed by other demonstrators AND I learn so much from these experienced ladies!!

This just turned out SO stunning - we were all a little hesitant about doing it, but it was easy, peasy.  This is the Watercolor Wings Stamp set and is a "3 step stamp"  Chris used Crushed Curry and Night of Navy!!

Rhonda P used the Pop of Paradise stamp set.  The Flamingo is SO "in" right now!!

Z-Fold Card

It's amazing how many different ways there are to make a "Z-Fold" card.  I love finding new ones and think this one is about my favorite.

We made this card in our April club meetings and all the gals loved it!

Faux Quilted Technique

Here's another card I shared at our April Club Meetings and it was a WOW

I saw this Faux Quilted card on Dawn Griffith's blog and just had to make it!  

Actually when I first saw it, I was puzzled - how in the world......

You will be amazed at how it's done!

Measurements

Perfect Plum Card Base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Layer 2 Gold Foil 5 1/4" x 4"

Layer 3 Perfect Plum 5" x 3 3/4"

Picture Tutorial

Using the Perfect Plum 5" x 3 3/4", score on the diagonal

Move your score line over to the 3/4" mark and score again

   

Do the same with the 2nd score line - move it over to the 3/4" mark and score - all the way across

Turn and score the other side

Now turn the card again and score the opposite way

It should now look like this

Now fold each score line and using a sponge dauber daub Perfect Plum ink on both sides

Do that for all score lines (both ways)

And now you have your background "faux quilt"

If you are using the Gold Foil Sheets, cut out the dragonfly from the center (save paper!!) before adding your quilt to the sheet

Adhere down and then add the Dazzling Details Gold Glitz to each "cross"

You will need to let this dry - take a couple of hours (or use your heat gun!)

I also stamped the sentiment in versamark and gold embossed it on the gold foil sheet!  

Very stunning!!
