Here's a card I did that I just love

Just stunning - I used Vellum card stock as an overlay

I stamped the small flowers from the Special Reason Stamp Set in the Occasions Catalog in Dapper Denim and Crumb Cake.  I used VersaMark for the Thank You on the Vellum and then embossed it with gold embossing powder

To adhere the vellum, I used Glue Dots on the center of the flowers and then added Dapper Denim Enamel Dots on the vellum

Finished it off with some Dapper Denim 3/8" Ruched Ribbon

It's SO fun for demos to get together and do cards others have designed

Four of us were able to meet last week and our theme was "Easter Cards"

There are two Easter sets that is current at the moment, and we ended up using just the one set - Basket Bunch page 18 of the 2017 Occasiosn Catalog

Just the cutest!!  We all had a hard time cutting off the little bunny's body, but one consolation is the bottom bunny gets to stay whole!!

Masculine Birthday Cards - You're the Best

It's never easy to find the perfect masculine card for the men in our lives

Love the Nailed It Bundle in the Occasions 2017 Stampin' Up Catalog

I added a sentiment from the Urban Distrcit - another great masculine set

Can you see the faint nails stamp on the Real Red - that's color-on-color - Real Red ink stamped on the Real Red Card Stock

And I used the Dynamic Hexagon Textured Impresssions Embossing Folder for the Crumb Cake!!

I cut two of the hammers and screwdrivers.  Cut off the tops to add red handles!!

And I added a greeting from the Cool Treats Stamp Set for the inside - and a little Urban Underground Designer Washi Tape

 

Any man would LOVE getting this card!!

Succulent Garden Suite

I took a little break this week and finished up my TAXES!!  Whoo Hoo!  They are behind me and it's such a burden lifted.  

I know, I should be doing them every month, but I never seem to find the time to sit down and do it all!

So that means a couple weeks of "fitting it in" this time of year.  

But they are done now and I'm SO grateful!!

I have been crafting all along, but intermittently.  

Wanted to share this beautiful card I made for a class that was cancelled due to illness (not mine, but the hostess!)

I've seen some beautiful projects made with the Succulent Garden Suite and hadn't taken time to make anything (except use the designer series paper which I absolutely LOVE!!)

But I wanted to use it with the glimmer paper - which is a freebie with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration 

If you haven't claimed this great pack of Glimmer Paper, I highly recommend it

It includes 4 pieces each of Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron and Sweet Sugarplum

I've had such fun using this paper

Can you see the scallop border of Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper?

I saw this "technique" on BJ Peters site and just had to try it.  

Can you guess what I used?  Yep - the Best Badge Punch!  

I added two little marks to my punch, so I could line it up perfectly.  I punched and then pulled it through and lined it up again!

I absolutely LOVE it when I our tools have more than one purpose!!

It wasn't my first choice, but I absolutely LOVE it after using it!  

Since it's Photopolymer, it's very easy to line up the two medallions and they are beautiful together

I chose Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede for this card.  Can you see the little circle of Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper behind the sentiment?  LOVE that glimmer paper

Sale-A-Bration 2nd Release Make a Medallion
