Workshop Hostess Gifts

I enjoyed sharing some fun projects and Stampin' Up products at two workshops recently

I love making gifts for my hostesses and wanted to share the gifts I made for my October hostesses

First of all, if you know me at all, you know I have a "fetish" for purses.  Not REAL purses, but paper purses

I love to make them and love a new pattern when I see one!

Hang Your Stocking Stamp Set

I'm finding the Hang Your Stocking Stamp Set and coordinating Christmas Stockings Thinlits dies are SO versatile!

I cut out one stocking with Cherry  Cobbler and then another one with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper

I popped the Dazzling Diamonds snowflake into the Cherry Cobbler stocking!!  LOVE IT!!

Hang your Stocking!!

The Hang Your Stocking Stamp Set in the 2016 Holiday Stampin' Up Catalog is absolutely GREAT!!

So many possibilities for this stamp set and coordinating Thinlits Dies

Here's one I made using it and I LOVE how it turned out

I cut out the stocking with the thinlits dies and then cut another one with the "plain" die and backed it!!

Christmas Z-Fold Card

Have you seen all the amazing Z-Fold cards?

They are absolutely amazing!

I LOVE how this one turned out using the Gingerbread man from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set

 

The Z-Fold card does look complicated, but trust me they aren't!

It's just an 11" x 4 1/4" piece of card stock that is scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2" and then the front folded back (to make the "Z")

Take another piece of card stock 11" x 1" and score it as above - but turn it the opposite way 

So adhere the 2 3/4" to the "inside" of the card and the 5 1/2" side is adhered to the front (with adhesive just on half of it

I adhered the first Gingerbread Man on the inside and then was able to line up the other two, so when the card is closed you can only see two!!

Just one more Masking Card

Just one more card and then I'll go on to something else

Masking Technique

On this card I masked vertically - sponged in fall colors and then stamped the leaves in VersaMark and used white embossing powder

Really quite striking!

Another Masking Technique

Here's another fun and different masking technique

For this technique I cut two pieces of card stock and masked all but the center.  I sponged and then stamped the "water scene" in VersaMark and then used white embossing powder.  Looks like an aquarium!!

Love how this turned out!!

Another simple masking card - Sympathy Card

Love this masking technique - quick and easy and they are FLAT for easy mailing

This was just a simple cutting out a piece of card stock the size of the front piece and then using the Layering Circles Framelits to cut out the circle, applying the mask and sponging 

This is such a beautiful card!!  Love it!

Christmas Quilt Card

Do you like to WOW your friends with your holiday cards?  Kinda fun, eh?

Here's a great one - especially as I have used the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper SO much and have so many little pieces left.

Just save those scraps and cut out 9 - 1 1/8" squares and you have enough for a quilt!!

I mounted these 9 squares on Early Espresso card stock 4" square

I used the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder 

A bit hard to see, but it's there

Love how it turned out!!

A Little Thanks Quilt Card

Now that I have finally broken open the package, I'm enjoying using the Moroccan Designer Series Paper - it wasn't a favorite at frst, but I'm loving how it has so many different designs and they compliment each other so well.

Here's another Quilt Card

I used 1 1/8" squares of the Moroccan Designer Series Paper and adhered them to a 4" square Very Vanilla piece of card stock

A really simple, but classy card

I used the Boho Chic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to quilt with!!
