When the Woodland Embossing Folder came out last year at this time, it was SO popular that it went on backorder. We were all SO happy when they carried it forward to the new Annual Catalog! It's SUCH a beautiful folder and you can make such gorgeous cards with it. At Arlyn's workshop in July, she wanted to "relearn" how to do this technique. so that's what we did.
We used the darling You're Sublime stamp set and the little camper to make this card
Wonder how this is done - with the camper BEHIND the trees.
You actually stamp the camper ON the actual embossing folder before you run it through the Big Shot!! Now how clever is that?
Just remember that you have to have whatever you put behind the trees the right configuration
Here's a picture and a tip to remember.....
Open up the embossing folder with the "sizzix" logo on the top - the trees will up upright
Stamp your image at the bottom of the upright trees
It will look like this
Run it through the Big Shot and your image will be behind the embossed trees! Cool, eh?
The next step is to lightly run the brayer over the trees with Soft Suede ink. That brings out the trees!
We then colored the camper!
An absolutely fun technique and there are SO many different images you can use behind the trees! I'll share more the next few days
