Pineapples, pineapples everywhere

I couldn't believe the BIG Pineapple background stamp in the new catalog - really?  Truly?  But if you check around, you will see the Pineapple and any tropical theme is the "in" thing!  Just check out the Pop of Pink Suite on pages 84-85 of the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog - pretty cool, eh?

So I decided I had to have the Pineapple Background Stamp and wanted to share the card I made

  Who doesn't LOVE a tropical theme?  Hawaii, here we come......

I masked off the bottom and top to get the two different colors!  

What do I mean by "masking off".  Just place a piece of paper over the part you don't want stamped and stamp.  Then re-ink in another color and mask off the opposite part!

How did I get the burst behind - I stamped it on the card base and then cut out the pineapple and overlayed it!!

Sweet Cupcake Birthday Card

So the Sweet Cupcake Birthday card is just amazing.  It's a triple stamp set - you can stamp both the "cup" for the cupcake and the frosting in three different colors.  Talk about dimension!!  It's truly beautiful!!

Wouldn't anyone love to get this birthday card?  Looks good enough to eat!!

I will be sharing a fun and 3 dimensional way to add the frosting soon - just need to get out my "science" tools!!

Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folders

Baby Bear Stamp Set

I have to say the Baby Bear Stamp Set is just to die for!  He's SO cuddly and looks like you could pick him up and give him a squeeze

At the Stampin' Up On Stage event in April, Sara Douglass, the CEO of Stampin Up, shared a whole list of colors that coordinate to make this baby bear, so I decided to make up cards showing these colors and give you something to refer to when you want to make him up!

Here is the card I made when I first came home from On Stage

Isn't he just the cutest little guy?

And remember this set has a great sentiment that you could use it for a Wedding or Anniversary

"to hug and to hold from this day forward"   

Awwww - so sweet - could be used for baby or a wedding!

Wonder what "stamped off" means?  Just stamp on your pad and stamp off on a scrap piece of paper and then stamp your image.  It takes a good portion of the ink and gives you a lighter color.

Gate Fold Birthday Card with Sweet Sugarplum

Sweet Sugarplum has become an absolute FAVORITE of mine - I keep reaching for it and LOVE it's soft yet beautiful look

This is the 4th card we made in our card class - a Gate Fold - that's where it "meets in thd middle"

Here is the 2nd card we made in my class for the scrapbookers!  We learned this "technique" at the Stampin' Up On Stage event in April.  You just take a card base and cut a piece of coordinating designer series paper 4 1/4" x 4" - the slice it diagonally - add the sentiment in between - quick card and oh so pretty!

Think of all the combinations you could make - this would be fun to just sit down and stock up on cards you'll be needing

Floral Phrases Stamp Set and Floral Boutique Thinlits Dies

This set was the FIRST one I wanted when I opened the new catalog!  Oh dear!  It's SO gorgeous!  

If you have't checked it out yet, I suggest you do - it's on pages 76 and 77 and is called the Floral Boutique Suite!  

Here's the card we made at our club meetings

Holly LOVES purple, and she was our hostess, so that's why I chose these colors!  A really simple card, but just gorgeous
