More Washi Washi - Sweet Sugarplum

I'm thinking my new favorite color is Sweet Sugarplum - it's one of the brand new 2016-2018 In-Colors and just appeals to me SO much!  Have you checked out the new In-Colors?  They are gorgeous and I LOVE that they are so "in vogue".  If you check around, you will see these colors being used everywhere.

Washi Washi meets Partial Herringbone

LOVE the Pop of Paradise Suite in the new catalog - check out pages 84 and 85 to view this beautiful suite of products.   I'm not "normally" a bright pink person, but these products really POP

I combined the Pop of Pink Washi Tape with a "partial" Herringbone technique

Think it turned out pretty "pink"  - Uh I mean cute!

Made two cards pretty much the same except with different sentiments.  Always need birthday and thank you!!

What a fun way to use your Washi Tape - the Herringbone effect

No it wasn't hard, and yes it was a little time consuming, but LOVE how it turned out

Washi Washi meets Swirly Bird

So if you have your catalog you need to see the new Swirly Bird stamp set and the coordinating Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.  Yes I saw it and decided, no I didn't need it.  Then all these "enablers" started making these wonderful cards and I just HAD to have it.  I'm not kidding, if you have a card that needs "something" this is the perfect addition!  It literally goes with ANYTHING!

I even used it on my Washi Washi cards - I just added the double swirl and it made all the difference

Quick and Easy Birthday Card with Candles and Washi Tape

Back to Washi Washi!  Yep - have lots more samples to share with you so hopefully you will get out your Washi Tape and use it.

Here's a really fun card.  I just added 8 pieces of Washi Tape in various and sundry sizes - just RIP them off - no need to be perfect on this one!  I the nadded some flames and a "Happy Birthday" sentiment and DONE! The "flame" is actually a leaf from the Swirly Bird Stamp Set!!  LOVE double duty!

You will notice a "theme" through all these cards.  I used a Whisper White Thick Card Stock for my card base - then added a coordinating color layer and then used Whisper White again for the main layer!  LOVE this layout as it brings together all the "suite" colors!

I can definitely see I'm in LOVE with the new Night of Navy and Whisper White theme this year with the Floral Boutique Suite.  It's SO elegant.  I can think of all kinds of occasions:  Wedding, Father's Day, Birthday, even Baby Boy!!

Washi Washi and a "Suite Deal"

One of the things we heard LOTS on our Cruise to the Mediterranean was "Washi, Washi."  Now I KNOW they weren't talking about Washi Tape, but I always thought of that - they were making sure we washed our hands, so no one would get sick!  Great idea too!

My sister and I have had a plan in mind for a couple of months.  That plan was to make lots of cards using our Washi Tape.  Do YOU have lots of Washi Tape and find you don't use it?  Well, I have LOTS of ideas so you can use your washi tape.  These layouts are fun and SO eash - I actually ended up making 40 cards in about a day and a half.  Some were duplicates, but lots were NOT!  I will share these over the next few days, and hopefully it will inspire YOU to get get out that Washi Tape and use it!!

I'm finding I'm LOVING the new 2016-2018 In-Colors, so I incorporated some of them into these cards!

I was always told by my upline that I needed to make two of every card - one to send and one to keep - I seldom do that, but this time, it was fun to make two and change them up a bit each time!    I used the Peek-A-Boo Peach on the left card and the Sweet Sugarplum on the right card.  Oh am I ever loving these colors.  I just added one line of Washi Tape, punched out the Elegant Butterfly and then added the smaller Bitty Butterfly inside the larger butterfly.  I added a sentiment and WOW - done!!

And check out the new 3/8" Ruched Ribbon - VERY easy to work with!  LOVE it

2016-2017 New Stampin' Up Annual Catalog is LIVE!!

Yes I placed my first (and 2nd and 3rd) orders from the new catalog!  I'm SO excited for this catalog and LOVE so many things in it!  I will be sharing the new products soon (still recovering from jetlag!!)

We had a wonderful incentive trip with Stampin' Up this past week.  We toured the Mediterranean on a cruise - stops in Naples, Rome, Pisa/Florence, Cannes and Marseilles.  What a trip

And the pillow gifts - Stampin' Up outdid themselves this year!  

We received tons of new product, a Dooney & Bourke crossbody bag, hats (for both Sam and me) and neat travel bag......
