Slider Cards; It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack

Dawn Griffith shared this neat slider card - then I saw them all over the internet, so just HAD to make some and share with my club members this month.  LOVE them as they are unique and really quick and easy to make!!

Isn't that cool?  The sentiment is under the slider part!

Here's a little picture tutorial on how to make the slider. Remember it's VERY easy!! LOL

Start with a piece of designer series paper that is 5" x 3 3/4"

Using the 1" circle punch, punch a circle on one side.  Slide the punch into the designer series paper as far as it will go and line up the punch on the outside of the paper

Do the same to the opposite side

You now have two 1" circles.  With your snips, cut between the circles

You now have your sliding "window"

Cut a piece of card stock 4 1/2" x 1 1/2"

Line that up so the windows is centered

You know the dimensionals?  There are "sides" that aren't cut on the dimensional sheet.  Snip both ends and put these on either side of the card stock on the back of the designer series paper

   

These pieces will be the "holder" for the sliding mechanicism

Add some dimensionals to the bottom

and attach this piece to a piece of Whisper White Card Stock cut 5 1/4" x 4"

Slip the 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" piece of card stock (slider) into the card and line it up just on the edge of the right side opening.  Add a dimensional - that will be the "stopper" so the slider part doesn't come out.  You can add your sentiment to that dimensional

I then cut off the excess piece of the slider and added a 1" circle of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, so the recipient can tell where to pull the slider

Stamp your "hidden" sentiment on the Whisper White and add this to the card base

This is a great card for any occasion.  I will share some more cards below - I used the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack for these cards.  Will share more tomorrow using different stamp sets and designer series paper
