Easter Egg Card

I realize it's a bit late for Easter, but think NEXT YEAR!  LOL   I wanted to share this beautiful card which I first saw on Pinterest and I think it was shared by Tami White - but who knows where it originally came from.  Anyway, I LOVE how it turned out and used it as a demonstration in my March stamp club!  

The Work of Art stamp set was definitely not my first choice from the new catalog last year, but then......well......all these enablers started sharing these wonderful ideas and they are still coming.  If you don't have this set, it's really a MUST for your collection

Isn't that stunning?  I cut two pieces of Whisper White Card Stock 5 1/4" x 4".  On the first one I stamped the colors using the "swash" stamp from Work of Art.  I then cut out the oval using the Oval Framelits and ran that through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  Applied that piece using dimensionals to the stamped piece.  Quick and easy!  Very effective!  And all the colors I used were from the Subtles Collection!  NICE!

Timeless Elegance Reverse Pleated Gate Fold Card; Sympathy Card

It's not always easy to make Sympathy card, but we all need them from time to time.  Here's one I made using the Revers Pleated Gate Fold Card.  I love how it turned out.  The Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper is SO elegant and fits so well!

Birthday Blooms and Birthday Bouquet Reverse Pleated Gate Fold Card

The Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper is just the most beautiful paper.  If you haven't used it yet, you need to get it and play with it!  I just LOVE it and as I use it more and more, I KNOW I'm going to miss it when it's gone!  Yes, it will be retiring soon (May 31st) with the 2016 Occasions Catalog!

I used the Mint Macaron and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers to color the flower!  With Hello Honey for the center of the flower

Love Bug Reverse Pleated Gate Fold Card

I haven't had a chance to use the little VW from the Beautiful Ride Stamp Set that is in the 2016 Occasions Catalog - I had to get it because my son has a VW just like this and my hubby has restored quite a few Volkswagons!!  

 

What a fun card - yes the VW is cut out by hand, but it wasn't hard at all!

Botanical Blooms Reverse Pleated Gate Fold Card

Here's another beautiful card I made using the Reverse Pleated Gate Fold Card.  For measurements on how to make this card (and it's really easy!!!) click here

On this card I just added the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper without a first layer!  So you can just use the measurements for the DSP

Isn't this just beautiful - I have to say the Botanical Suite from the 2016 Occasions Catalog (Pages 26-27) are one of my favorite,  Keep your fingers crossed that Stampin' Up will carry this suite into the new Annual Catalog!!

Club Projects for March - Reverse Pleated Gate Fold Card

I saw this card shared on Pinterest and I think I found the directions on Linda Bauwins site.  I appreciate all the ideas found on Pinterest and shared by so many wonderful crafters!  I shared this fun fold in my clubs this month and the gals LOVED it!  And, of course, since it's a masculine card (which aren't always easy to do), this was a real winner!!

Here are the measurements for this card

Sahara Sand Card Base  8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Scored at 2", 3 1/2", 5 3/8", 6 1/2"

Measurements for the Black and designer series paper (Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack)

Front piece Black 5 3/8" x 2 1/8"; DSP 5 1/4" x 2" (cut 1 of each)

Side pieces Black 5 3/8" x 1 7/8"; DSP 5 1/4" x 1 3/4"  (cut 2 of each)

Small side pieces Black 5 3/8" x 1"; 5 1/4" x 7/8"  (cut 2 of each)

Front piece Black 3 3/4" x 3"
