Rose Wonder Stamp Set

I have used the beautiful Rose and leaves from the Rose Wonder stamp set, and it's kind of fun to do something different.  Here's a card shared by Char's friend, Rita, that uses the simple stem/leaves and the small flower!  I think it turned out great and wanted to share for inspiration

Botanicals For You Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set

The Botanicals for You stamp set that is FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration is a great set for recognizing that special someone!  LOVE the large font "Just For You".  Really stands out and I've seen a LOT of cards made.  And this set coordinates nicely with the Botanical Gardens Suite in the 2016 Occasions Catalog.  LOVE the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper, and the Botanical Builder Framelits are TO "Die" for.  The largest flower actually has MOVING parts!  Cool!

I muted the designer series paper by placing a piece of the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum (also a Sale-A-Bration item free with a $50 order)

And....on the vellum, I used the Clear Wink of Stella and colored some of the flowers.  Again, you can't SEE this on the picture, but it's a fun touch!

I just had to combine these two sets - Going Global from the 2016 Occasions Catalog and Sky is the Limit from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog (FREE of course).  What great stamp sets and the coordinating World Traveler Textured Impression Embossing Folder is a MUST have!

A fun card to make and easy peasy

I ran the Whisper White piece through the Big Shot with the World Traveler Embossing Folder and then sponged over the "sea" part with the Mint Macaron.

Yes I fussy cut the plane, but it was really easy!

Scallop Circle Flip Fold Card

I found this great card on Pinterest and when I clicked on it I found I KNOW the demonstrator who made it.  Lyssa Zwolanski is a wonderful lady!!  I've met her on some of the incentive trips and you won't find a sweeter person!  I was thrilled to find this card and since it was using some old sets, I changed it up a bit!

This is using the Circle Card Thinlits!  Recognize it now?

Well, maybe not, because it doesn't resemble the Circle Flip cards at all, but that is where you start.

First cut out using the Circle Card Thinlits

The take the Circle Framelits and cut like this

Now you have your circle  - decorate as desired.

Then you will need something interesting to mount it on

I used the largest Scallop Circle from the Circle Framelits Collection

You will need to cut a circle in the Scallop circle for the flip to work

It needs to be offset, just a tad - just line up the flip card and you can tell where to place the cut.  It will be covered up

Here's the inside of the card

I added the ribbon to the front, so the receiver would know where to pull to see the inside!

Nifty, eh?  Fun and easy to make!

Oh and you can't see it in the picture, but I used the Clear Wink of Stella to color the Valentine!!  Really shines!!

Bloomin' Love Stamp Set - 2016 Occasions Catalog

The items in the 2016 Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog are really WOW!!  I've had fun playing the last couple of days and will be doing more too!  SO many new toys to play with !  I made this card using the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set and the coordinating Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack!  It's perfect for that next holiday!!

The heart stamp is embossed in gold!  LOVE IT!

Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies Red Foil Valentine

I just LOVE how this cared turned out,  It's CAS (Clean & Simple), but oh so beautiful!!

Isn't that Bloomin' Heart Valentine Thinlit just the BEST?

If you have this or want it, I have some tips

First, if you have the Precision Base Plate, I recommend using that to cut your die

Sandwich:

Multipurpose Platform on Tab 2

Precision Base Plate

Card Stock

Die

Acrylic Plate

If you don't have Precision Base Plate, then another option is the Magnetic Platform

Sandwich:

Magnetic Platform

Acrylic Plate

Card Stock

Die

Acrylic Plate

And here's the BEST tip - run it through the Big Shot at least 3 times!  This really helps!  

Then I suggest using the Sizzix Die Brush

This is brand new in the 2016 Occasions Catalog and really makes getting the little pieces out.

First run the die through the Big Shot 3-4 times and then lift the entire piece including the die to the foam pad (which comes with the brush)

Run the brush back and forth over the die.  

Lift it up and the pieces are on the foam pad!!  Really Neat!

TIP:  Here's a great tip - cut out the Bloomin' Heart Thinlit from the Red Foil Paper 5 1/4" x 4".  The Whisper White layer covers it up!!
