Day 5 of 12 Days of Christmas - Baker's Boxes

Have you tried the Baker's Boxes?  Oh dear - wasn't sure I would like this particular Thinlit Die, but I tried them for my downline meeting on Saturday!  The girls loved them and I DO TO!!  I hadn't really used much of the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper - but I LOVE it!!  So soon it will be gone!!

I will share pictures close up below, but here they are all together

AND.....they are filled with White Chocolate Lindt candies - YUMMM

If you have something that is small but not tiny, this is the WAY TO GO!!

The finished box measurements are 4 1/8" x 2 1/8" x 2 5/8"

Instructions:

1. Start with two pieces of card stock or designer series paper cut 6 ½” x 6”. Cut out TWO of the box dies.  Assemble your box per the instructions (see video here from Stampin’ Up if you have any questions)
2. Stamp sentiment from Num-Num stamp set on Very Vanilla and cut with the die from the Baker’s Box dies. Adhere to front of box.   
3. Fill with goodies
4. Close with the Gold or White 3/8” Glitter Ribbon

Day 4 of 12 Days of Christmas - Tags

We all need tags and it's easy to leave them to the last minute and HORROR of HORRORS have to go out and BUY them!!  Oh yes, I've been guilty of THAT!  But this year I decided to get some done ahead and these were SO easy and fast - I just used ONE stamp set - plus it was FUN!!

Day 3 - 12 Days of Christmas - Gift Card Holders

There are SO many ideas for gift card holders - I could go on and on, but I found these on a website, and just HAD to make them.  They will be heading to Alabama soon with gift cards for my great nephews and niece!  I had FUN making these and I hope you will enjoy them.  

I had said I hadn't used the Home for Christmas Designer series paper and yesterday I shared the Baker's Boxes made with this paper.  The leftovers were sitting on my desk, so I grabbed them and used them to decorate these cute holders

First I will share a little tutorial and then each individual card holder with the supplies

Instructions:

1. Start with a piece of card stock 11 ½” x 2 ¾”. Score at 3 ½” x 7 ½”.  Place one end of the card stock in the big shot with the Lots of Labels Framelit (largest one) over the end and the bottom under the card stock as shown in picture

 

          This will cut just the top of the card stock

2. Cut a piece of designer series paper 3 ¼” x 2 ½”. You will cut this piece the same as above – just remember the “pattern” will be placed on the front of the gift card holder, so be sure and cut the correct orientation.  The “cut” will be at the bottom of the piece.  Use the 2^nd to largest Lots of Labels framelit.  You can see what I mean in the picture below.  The cut needs to be at the bottom orientation

 

3. Turn the card stock to the other end and using the 3^rd to smallest Circle Collection framelit, but out a half circle in the bottom

 

4. Fold on the score lines. Add some Washi Tape to the center piece and some Tear & Tape to both edges

 

 

5. Fold up bottom and you have the place to insert your gift card
6. Add the designer series paper to the front and cut another piece of designer series paper 2 ½” x 2 ¼” and adhere it to the bottom.

 

 

5. Cut a piece of designer series paper 6 ¼” x 1” for the belly band. Wrap it around the gift card holder and secure with Tear & Tape
6. I used the 2 3/8” scallop punch and punched out a coordinating piece of card stock and decorated the front of the belly. See below for products used for each holder

Quick and easy to make and what  a FUN presentation!

Day 2 of 12 Days of Christmas Ideas

Needing a quick card for someone special?  I think this card fits the bill!  It's really easy and you KNOW that special someone will get a kick of out it!! Another demonstrator, Billie,  shared one like this, and I changed it up a bit just for fun!  I have to admit I hadn't used the antler stamp, so it was FUN to ink it up!!

 

Measurements:

Thick Whisper White Card Stock 11" x 4 1/4"

Layer 2 Whisper White 5 1/4" x 4"

Layer 3 Red Glimmer Paper 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Layer 4 Whisper White 1 1/2" x 1 1/2"

Instructions:

1. Stamp antlers in Black Tuxedo Ink on 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” Whisper White. Add eyes with Black Stampin’ Write marker.  Adhere Home For Christmas Red Enamel Dot for nose.
2. Stamp sentiment in Black Tuxedo Ink on the 5 ¼” x 4” piece just below the center.
3. Run Whisper White 5 ¼” x 4” through the Big Shot using the Softly Falling TIEF.
4. Using the 2” (3^rd from smallest) Square Framelit, cut out the opening in the 5 ¼” x 4” Whisper White piece.
5. Adhere Rudolph to the Red Glimmer piece 2 ½” x 2 ½” piece and Red Glimmer piece to the back of the Whisper White 5 ¼” x 4”  (I used some Tear & Tape on the Whisper White piece to hold this in place
6. Adhere Whisper White 5 ¼” x 4” to the card base with dimensionals

TODAY STARTS MY 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS POSTS!

For the next 12 days, I will be sharing handmade items for your holiday pleasure.  Whether you make them or NOT, I hope you enjoy them.  Every day there will be something whether it's a card, a small gift, tags, or bags.  Each day I will share a pdf file of the project, so you can download it and save!

Today we will start with a darling little calendar/post-it note pad gift.  These would be GREAT for someone who has been special this year whether it's a postal worker, teacher, friend or just someone you want to thank!!  It's perfect for a desk, or in a purse!

I'm calling it a "Matchbook Calendar"

1. Score 8 ½ x 3 ¼ ” Basic Black card stock at 2 ½”, 2 ¾”, 6” and 6 ¼”.  Fold and burnish all score lines.
2. Sponge Real Red ink on the flowers of the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper
3. Adhere calendar on top inside panel with Tear and Tape.
4. Adhere 3” x 3” White Sticky Note Pad on central panel with Tear and Tape
5. Adhere 3” x 2” Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper to bottom panel
6. Stamp “For You” in Real Red ink on Very Vanilla 2 ¼” x 1” and punch out with Washi Label Punch. Adhere to bottom panel
7. Using the two pieces 3” x 3” Basic Black card stock, punch out two sets with the Bow Builder Punch and assemble the bow.  TIP:  I use Mini Glue Dots to put together my bows!). 
8. Adhere the 3” x 2 ¼” piece of Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper to the front top panel and adhere the bow. Add the Very Vanilla Home for Christmas Enamel Dot  to center of bow
9. Adhere the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper 3” x 2” piece to the bottom front panel

Snowflakes Emboss Resist

I truly prefer snowflakes on cards instead on the ground - especially when we travel!!

So I made a couple of cards, HOPING the would stay on the cards and not fall from the sky {BIG GRIN}

I know there aren't purples snow flakes, but I love this color combination!  Always fun to have something different!
