How to make a "reverse" image when you stamp

Sometimes it's just FUN to have two images facing each other - how to do that when your image is facing right or left?  Easy, peasy!  Just stamp your image on the back of a photopolymer and then stamp on your project!  Wait.....how did I do that?  What am I talking about?

See the elephants - they are facing teach other - that's what I'm talking about

Stamp one elephant 

Stamp another elephant on the BACK of a photopolymer stamp.  Then stamp on your project!

I used the Celebrate Today Photopolymer Stamp Set

I used the balloon on the right above.  I turned it over to the back and stamped the elephant on it and then stamped it on my project!

Stampin' Up Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies for Halloween

I have shared a number of boxes I made and wanted to show you some more for Halloween.  I loved making the larger one and it was FULL of candy corn, but would be perfect for a BIG chocolate bar!!  Hmmm - think my husband would LOVE that

 

As you can see it's about 7 1/2" long and about 4" wide.  NICE size.  You can make two complete boxes and just slide the ends together to double your box.

Or you can fold your two pieces of card stock in half and cut making SURE you are doing it at the same place.  I added a piece of washi tape to the side of the thinlit to make sure they were even

Start with a piece of card stock (or designer series paper) that is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"  Scored at 4 1/4" 

Fold on the score line and line it up as shown in picture.  The arrow indicates the fold

 

 You can see in this picture the place where I put a piece of Washi Tape

Cut two of these and when you fold them out you will then be able to put them together as with the regular sized box.  I added some designer series paper to cover up the fold!

Stampin' Up Pillow Box Thinlits Die

I"m really loving this great thinlit set - it comes with the pillow box thinlit AND some fun accessories.  

There are two "squares" for cutting windows in your pillow box, a snow flake, some pumpkins, leaves, trees and a candy candy.  What fun!  Good for most occasions!

I made some "autumn" boxes which I think turned out SO cute

These would be great treats for Thanksgiving

Can you see the corrugated paper I used for the acorn?  Really neat!  It's a product that is new in the annual catalog (page 148)  It comes in Kraft and White!  Love it!!

Hostess Gifts for September Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies

As my demo was for the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies, I decided to make my hostesses a little card set.  I used our Note Cards and Envelopes and made 4 cards and then a holder with the Pillow Box Die

I made the little holder withe the Square Pillow Box Thinlit Die

I just pulled it down a bit and didn't cut the top about 1/4.  Put it together and had a cute little holder for cards!!

I do recommend the Tear and Tape to put this little box together and the gals used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to glue the spider web on and they LOVED it!
