One last Halloween Treat Box

Happy Halloween to all of you!  I just had to share this darling little treat box.  I saw this today on Becky Roberts blog and she shared the idea and a video from another demonstrator.  

 

Isn't this just the cutest?  I'm having a class today and will be having a special little guest and this will be her little gift from me!!  Of course, it's full of treats!

This is the Curvy Keepsake box (the face is from Sparkly Season) and the hat is just SO easy to make.  Just a 2 1/2"  circle cut from the Black Glimmer Paper.  Then the word window punch in the center.  The points are the Tree Punch.  Just added some glue dots and folded up the bottoms!  I recommend going to Becky's site and watching the video!!

One more wiper card - Christmas Card

Halloween Treat Holder - Matchbox

I saw these darling Halloween Treat Holders on Facebook and just had to make some.  I asked for directions and they never appeared, so I made them myself!!  

These are little "matchboxes" and just by changing the measurements, you could make any size!!  These fit a couple of snack sized candy bars perfectly.  Quick and easy, so if you are looking for some special treat holders for some special little goblins, these are PERFECT!

   

And here's a little tutorial - you will LOVE how easy this is

Cut a piece of Basic Black card stock 5" x 4"

Score 1" on all 4 sides

Cut up to the score lines on 4 corners

Cut little wedges in the "tabs" and add Tear & Tape 

Assemble box

Cut a piece of Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper 6 1/2" x 3"

Score at 1/2" , 2 1/2", 3 1/2", and 5 1/2"

Add Tear and Tape to the 1/2" tab

   Assemble cover which will fit over box bottom

Stamp the sentiment "Good to the Last Bite" from Merry Everything Stamp Set

Punch out with Note Tag Punch

Punch out a piece of Basic Black card stock using just the top of the punch (it should be 1/2" longer than the sentiment to fit into the box approximately 2 1/2")

Add sentiment to basic black and insert in the box (I added tear and tape to hold it in place!

I did the RIP with the Little Letters Thinlits

Quick and easy and is that fun or what?

Joseph's Coat Technique

For September one of our club projects was learning the "Joseph's Coat" technique.  It's been years since I tried this technique and found it lots of fun and the end results was a WOW!

I demonstrated how to do this technique with this card

Aren't those leaves just gorgeous?  

Here's a little tutorial on how to do Joseph's Coat

I used Very Vanilla card stock and the first thing I did was sponge three different colors all over the card stock.  I used a Stampin' Sponge and Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Old Olive.  

 

I then stamped the Vintage Leaves in VersaMark

 

You can just barely see the leaves stamped in VersaMark 

and then clear embossed them.

 The  next step is to use the brayer and Early Espresso ink and brayer over the entire piece.  

After brayering, I rubbed off the leaves and they just POPPED!

I cut the leaves out with the Leaflets Framelits and had a wonderful addition to my card

Since I had just driven over Mt. Hood and saw the beautiful leaves turning. this was the perfect card.

Crumb Cake card base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Layer 2 Crumb Cake 5 1/4" x 4"
