For February we made the Pop Out Swing Card - this is definitely one of my favorite cards for a fun fold! It's easy and really packs a punch!
This is the card we did in class using the Celebrate Today Stamp Set
and open
Products used - then check below for another card and a tutorial
Measurements
Coastal Cabana card base 8 ½” x 5 ½”
Whisper White 6” x 5 ½”; 3” x 3”
Crushed Curry 4” x 4” (for frame)
Open
Is this just absolutely pretty or what. It’s NOT hard; just a few steps to make it! I just LOVE it and found it on a number of different blogs!
Instructions:
- Run the front of the card through the Big Shot with the #6 Square Framelit (6th from the smallest). The cut out piece will measure 3 ¼” x 3 ¼”. Keep this piece
Fold the 6” x 4 ½” piece of Soft Sky Card Stock to make a “Z”. Add adhesive to the back and line it up to the front opening and adhere to the inside of the card (see pictures below). Check to make sure the fold is on the right side
Place Silver Foil piece 4” x 4” on Big Shot and put #6 and #7 square framelits and run through making a Silver Frame.
Add Silver Frame to front of car
Stamp flower on the 3” x 3” piece with Pear Pizzaz ink and color with Soft Sky Blendabilities. Stamp small butterfly and punch out with Bitty Butterfly punch. Add to Whisper White piece. Adhere basic pearls to butterfly. Stamp sentiment in Wild Wasabi. Attach this piece to the cutout 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” Soft Sky piece
Fold card base and add adhesive to RIGHT SIDE ONLY of above Soft Sky/Whisper White piece. Place 3 ½” x 3 ½” piece inside window frame on front of card and adhere down to “Z” piece
This will now make the “pull out” part of your card and you can pull it through the front “window” to open the card
Stamp Butterfly/caterpillar saying to Whisper White scrap piece and punch out with 1 ¾” circle punch. Punch out 2” Silver circle and adhere sentiment. Add to inside of card (right part of the “Z”
Stamp butterfly in Wild Wasabi and run through the Big Shot with the coordinating framelit. Adhere to middle part of “Z”
