What has been happening.....NEW BABY!!

Yes our new granddaughter was born on Wednesday!!  SO excited!!  Brynn Hope Farring joined her little family at 9:09 on Wednesday, March 25th.  She was born on what would have been my mother's 99th birthday!!  Very special

I used the Lotus Blossom Stamp Set (also a Sale-A-Bration FREE set) 139143

Pear Pizzazz Card Base

Soft Sky and Whisper White

Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Paper Stack (138639)

I used my Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Markers and colored the  butterflies on the back of the vellum, then mounted it on Whisper White and then Soft Sky

I used the Spring Flowers Textured Impression Embossing Folder (137365) on the card base

Card #2

I used Soft Sky for the card base and Pear Pizzazz to color the leaves on the back of the vellum. 

I mounted the vellum on Whisper White

I used the Hello You Thinlits for the sentiment (137363)

Card #3

This card uses Whisper White for Blackberry Bliss to frame the vellum

I colored the flowers with Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write marker on the back and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves

The sentiment is from the Lotus Blossom set in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog (139143)

Card #4

For this card I used Soft Sky for the card base and then added a piece of the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper (138633) also free with a $50 order

Masculine Birthday Card using the Mini Treat Bags Thinlits

I saw an idea like this on pinterest and just LOVED it; so I made it a masculine card - one of the hardest types of cards to make, right?

 

And with the insert

I cut the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits as if I was making a bag - cut off the zigzag top and put them together as per the instructions

I turned it to the back  - folded back the top corners for the "collar", added the buttons and "bowtie"

then popped in the insert - DONE

Bunny Easter Treat Holders

 

You are absolutely going to LOVE these darling little Easter Treat Holders - they hold two of the Reese's Easter Bunnies!!  This idea was shared by my good friend and downline, Cindi Kurtz.  You can see her's here.  Thanks Cindi, for this GREAT idea!

You start with one of Stampin' Up's Half Wood-Mount Stamp Cases

For the inside cut a piece of card stock 10 1/2" x 3 1/4"

Score at 1", 2", 4 1/4", 5 1/4", 6 1/4", 8 1/2", and 9 1/2"

Mountain fold on the 1",  5 1/4" and 9 1/2"

Valley fold on the 1", 4 1/4",  6 1/4",  and 8 1/2"

Add Sticky Strip Tape to the back side as in the picture

Fold up and it should look like this and will fit perfectly into your wood mount case.  I added some sticky strip tape on the back to hold it down

Using my Fringe Scissors, I cut up some scraps of Daffodil Delight Card Stock and then just scrunched them up in my hands for the "grass"

And here are the little bunnies in their nests

 

For the outside, I cut a piece of card stock 11 3/8" x 3 1/4"

Score at 5" on each end

Wrap it around the box and adhere with Sticky Strip

Add some fun stuff on the front and you have a fabulous little gift for those peeps out there!!

Old Oldie but a GOODIE!! Sour Cream Containers!!

Do you remember these?  They are SO fun and easy to make - AND they are perfect for some Easter treats!  I haven't made these in a long time - I did a quick tutorial on this back in 2011 here

They are SO cute and really hold LOTS of candy!!  I filled mine with Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (MY FAVORITE!!)

It's almost time for Easter - how about some treat holders??

I wanted to share this cute little Easter Treat Holder using the Scallop Tag Topper punch.  These are SO easy and quick to make - and anyone would LOVE to have one of these Cadbury chocolate eggs, right?  I saw this idea on Pinterest and followed it back to Mary Fish's blog for the directions!

'

1.  Cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 11" x 2".  Run both ends through the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.  

2.  Score at 6 1/2" from each end

3.  Cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 3 1/2"  square and score 3/4" on all 4 sides

4.  Before putting the "box" together, using your 2nd smallest circle framelits, cut  a circle in the middle of the "box"

5.  Assemble your box by cutting up to the score line on all 4 sides (see picture above). I used glue dots, and you can also use sticky strip.

6.  Add Sticky Strip Tape to two sides and then to the center of your scalloped piece

7.  I used some Pear Pizzazz card stock and my fringe scissors and cut the "grass".  

8.  The little bunny is made with the small oval punch, and the 3/4" circle punch.  To make the bunnies ears, I punch out a small oval and then ran it back through the punch to cut it down.

I hope you will have fun making this darling little treat holder!
