I was fascinated when I saw a "squash" card on pinterest. I had to follow through and find out just what that was! Then because it was SO cute, I had to make one!! Check this out and you can "kinda" see why it's called a "squash" card.
Huh? you say? The front just looks like a "regular" card, but wait.....
Open it up and......
Just LOOK what pops out! Isn't that just SO neat?
Here's a quick little tutorial on how to make the "squash" part. I will be sharing some other fun cards soon with this same technique
Start with a piece of card stock cut 6" x 6"
Score at 3" both ways and fold on each score line
Next fold up one corner on the triangle
Now flip the card over and pull the triangle score lines into the center
Bring those edges together on the square
Press the top down and using the bone folder, burnish the folds
You now have a piece that looks like this and this will be attached to the inside of your card
Isn't that just the coolest?
I'll definitely be doing more of these fun cards!!
Here are the products I used
Thanks Jean - I'm planning to share this with my club members using a birthday theme - will share directions on that too - have seem many wonderful projects with this technique!
