Ornamental Pine Stamp Set Hostess Gift

I recently had a workshop and wanted to showcase the Ornamental Pine Stamp Set that is in the current Holiday Catalog.  It's such a practical set and one of my all time favorites

Here are the 4 cards I made my hostess

On this card i used the all over embossing technique.  I stamped the images, sponged around the outside and then stamped all over the front with VersaMark.  I then used Clear Embossing Powder and heat set it.  It's very shiny and truly awesome.  Unfortunately the picture doesn't do it justice!  You must try this technique sometime as it's really stunning!

Scallop Tag Topper/Framelits Technique Christmas Tag

I think these little tags would be wonderful for all the gifts at this time of year!  I LOVE this technique using the Scallop Tag Topper and the framelits together!  I hope you enjoy this little tag

This uses the Scallop Tag Topper and the Oval Framelits.  I used the third from the largest for the Whisper White layer and the 4th from the largest for the "frame"

Scallop Tag Topper Framelit Technique

I first saw this really cool technique using the Scallop Tag Topper and the framelit, on Leanne Greff's website and I just had to try it.  I truly LOVE it and as with anything else that takes my "fancy". 

Here's the first card I made using the technique

Can you see the scallop behind the ribbon?  Isn't that the coolest?

Here's a little tutorial on how to do this

First you will put your piece of cardstock into the Scallop Tag Topper Punch

It will be pushed up into the punch as in the picture

Punch it and then add your choice of framelit.  I used the ovals, but you could also use square and circle

As you can see, it will go behind the scallops and then the rest is on the front.  Run it through your Big Shot and you have.....

Decorate as you like and add to your card base.

Carol used some copper metal and a non Stampin'' Up embossing folder, but I just had to share these because they are SO beautiful

Aren't they fabulous?  Carol found what is called crafting aluminum metal online. 

I went to my closet and sure enough I had some too - in a multitude of colors, so we designed this card and Carol shared this technique at our club meeting! 

The star is using the "Tempting Turquoise" metal (matches perfectly) and can be used on the card front and then removed to decorate a package or as an ornament!

Here's a little tutorial so YOU can try this - so many possibilities!!

  To make the "metal" a little more sturdy (it's paper thin), you will need to glue two pieces together.  We used our Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue - and the flat end  to get a good covering

Place the two together and then use a rolling pin to flatten them

  

The next step was to cut out the two stars with the Star Framelits

We then ran these through the Big Shot using the Northern Flurries Embossing Folder

Simple and easy, but VERY effective

We ran the Whisper White card stock through the Northern Flurries Embossing Folder also and then sponged a little Tempting Turquoise ink over it!

Christmas Bauble with the Dry Sheet Technique

I believe I told you in my last post that the Dryer Sheet Technique is addicting - I'm afraid I've become addicted!  Just had to share one more card I made using this cool technique!

I covered just the Christmas Bauble (in the 2014 Holiday Catalog) with the Dryer Sheet - the pictures doesn't do it justice - trust me - it's WOW

I love the way the pine branch from Ornamental Pine Set frames this "bauble".
