Last week I attended a Stampin' Up! sponsored event in Portland along with two of my friends Gayla and Peggy. We had a grand time and as always Stampin' Up events are super! Lots or prizes - congratulations again goes to Gayla for winning a prize!!
Even thought this event was Stampin' Up sponsored, a group of Vancouver (WA) ladies organized it and were the hostesses - thanks Barb Brimhall and all your gals for a great event!
All attendees received a FREE Everyday Occasions Card KIt - WOW what a great gift! Have you check out this great card kit? It's $29.95 and there are enough supplies for 20 cards (including envelopes). These card are easy and fun to make and are great for many, many occasions. These make wonderful gifts for your friends!!
But I digress.....as with almost every Stampin' Up event demonstrators LOVE swapping and this was NO exception. I wanted to share some of the swaps I received that evening for some inspiration!
And here's the card I made
I used the Emboss Resist technique on the star. I first stamped it in VersaMark and then heat set with White Embossing Powder. I then used a Stampin' Sponge and sponged over the embossed part. After sponging to my satisfaction, I wiped if off with a tissue. That pushes the ink in to the "unembossed" parts! LOVE this technique!
