October Stamp of the Month Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies and Letterpress Winter

Hasn't September just flown by?  I can't believe it!  So it's time for the October Stamp of the Month Kit. 

Wonder what the Stamp of the Month Kit is?  If you have ever purchased stamp and accessories and then didn’t know what to do with them when you received them, I have the solution.  You purchase the kit (at a discount), and I will send you the kit and three projects to do up immediately.  The kit includes the stamp set and whatever else I choose in making the card kits.  I don’t include adhesives, ink and stamped images (per Stampin' Up rules), and you can substitute what you have.  These projects are fun and easy to do.  I will send you a pdf file by email with the instructions and pictures for each project and the actual product to make three projects will be included in your kit!  Plus I will include additional samples that you can use to create even more cards and projects!!

These normally sell for a total of $58.90 plus shipping of $5.89 for a total of $64.88

The kit price is $55.00

3.  Product for you to complete three projects immediately

4.  A pdf file will be emailed to you when I send out your kit.  I will include complete instructions for each product including pictures AND additional ideas for you to complete with these products. 

Details:

If you already have these products, you may substitute any products in any current catalog for the same price (to total $58.90).  The projects will be for the above products.  If you sign up for six months, the shipping is free.  Otherwise I will include $5.70 for priority mail shipping in your total. 

I take Visa, M/C, Discover, checks and paypal (I will send an invoice when I place my order.)

This order will be placed on Monday, October 6 and your kits will be mailed on or before October 15th.

I'm apologize for not blogging the last few days - what with our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration and then prepping for my club meetings this week, I've been a bit busy, but I will be back with lots of ideas next week I promise!!

Golden Wedding Anniversary Card

I have shared over the last while the 50th Anniversary Invitation here , and the Curvy Keepsake Favor Boxes here and now I want to share the card I made for my sister and brother-in-law!  I found this idea on pinterest (YES, I spend WAY too much time on there!!)

Curvy Keepsake 50th Anniversary Favor Box

My sister and her husband will be married 50 years this coming Friday.  We are having a family dinner for them - they didn't want a big celebration, so it's just family (I think about 36!!)  I wanted something special to give to each person who is coming, so I made these Curvy Keepsake 50th Anniversary Favor Boxes!!  They were fun and easy to make!  Just a lot of Big Shot cutting, but that's okay!  LOVE MY BIG SHOT!

I was amazed how quickly these went together. 

TIP:  When you cut your card stock for the Curvy Keepsake Box, I recommend 8 1/2" x 11" paper cut to 8 1/2" x 6".  Be sure put the thinlit the way I show you in the picture - I speak from experience. I laid it the wrong way and warped my thinlit.  I will have to see if I can press it under something to "warp it back".  Or maybe just order a new one.  Actually it works fine, but here's how to lay it out

First the sandwich for the big shot using the Thinlits dies (bottom to top)

So just be sure and don't turn the thinlit so the "pointy" edge is on the side - that will warp it!!  It's just a bit too big to go through the Big Shot!!

Unite and Excite Swaps

My two friends made some beautiful cards to swap at our Unite and Excite event last week and I wanted to share them with you.  Let me know if you have any questions about the products they used.

Here's Peggy's card.  She also used the Bright and Beautiful

Peggy also used the Bright and Beautiful Stamp set and the beautiufl new Filagree Frame Embossing Folder (LOVE that thing!!).  She used Soft Sky for her card base and then the All is Calm Designer Specialty Designer Series Paper.  She used the Star Framelits and cut out the Whisper White and then placed the silver star in the center - just really pops!!  Isn't her card just beautiful?

And here's one of the cards Gayla made

OH dear -  SO cute - love the way she made the "snow" by using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  The stamp set she used the Festival of Trees stamp set from the Holiday Catalog along with the new Tree Punch!  And the On Point Textured Impressions Embossing Folder fits perfectly for the background!  LOVE it! 

And here's another swap Gayla made

Don't you just LOVE these colors - these are the In-Colors and this card really, really shows them to perfection! Gayla used the Six-sided Sampler Stamp Set and the Hexagon Punch and then gave the background some pizzaz with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!  The Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon really sets this lovely card off
