Gold Soiree One Sheet Wonder Card Set

This is the second set of card I made using the One Sheet Wonder Technique.  Yes, it's truly one of my favorite techniques and if you haven't tried it yet, you MUST!  I LOVE this set of cards because they turned out SO elegant using the gold stripe (the opposite side of the flowers).  Click here to see the first set I made using the flowery paper

One Sheet Wonder - an OLD Favorite

 I decided I needed to do some One Sheet Wonders again - this is one of my MOST favorite techniques and actually was my very first class after I became a Stampin' Up Demonstrator!!  It's a quick and easy way to make a lot of cards!  I just LOVE the new designer papers and especially the Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (page 184 in the new catalog).  And talking about the new catalog - do you have yours yet?  If not, LMK and I'll make sure you get one

But I digress - back to the One Sheet Wonder.  What is it you ask?  It's where you take one piece of paper, either designer series paper or stamp your own background and cut it up and make cards - lots of cards!

I'm going to sharing the 4 sets I made this week and just so you know, I"m planning a class using this technique - date to be determined soon and I will let you know!

Starting with the Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper, I cut up the same two sheets (you get two sheets of six different double sided paper in each package).  I used one side for one set of cards and the other side for the 2nd set of cards!  Here is the paper - kind of hard to see, but I used the flowered one that has gold stripes on the opposite side!

Brand new 2014-2016 In-Colors Introduced

Chevron Border Punch Lattice Technique

Yes I found these SO fun to make - how cool is this great technique.  Just punch out two chevrons and turn one the the opposite way and entwine them together.

Love this card with the Hardwood Background Stamp Set!!

Can you see the frame behind the sentiment?  That is the Decorative Label Punch - I punch out one and then added a piece of card stock as a "fishing pole" behind it - stuck it back in the punch and punched it again!  Nice!

Chevron Border Punch Lattice Card

Sometimes we just need a card that says "I'm thinking of you" and I love this card for that reason!  Simple, but elegant

Love the blending of the purples - my favorite color actually!!  Well.....after Coastal Cabana and .....you get the picture!!

Again I used the Chevron Border Punch and make a lattice with Wisteria Wonder and used Elegant Eggplant as a background color!!

Teacher Appreciation Ideas

My daughter was looking for ideas for Teacher Appreciation gifts.  She did some searching on Pinterest and found some wonderful ideas - I also shared some ideas with her and she came up with some awesome projects! 

Her son, Donny has an awesome teacher and this is the gift Heidi made for her

Is that just the most darling thing you have seen in a long time?  Her hubby cut off the pencils evenly and hot glued them to a can. She then printed out "Mrs. Hazel" and used the 1 3/8" Circle Punch (119860) and punched out the name and popped it onto the Chalk Talk stamp (130634) which she had cut out with the Chalk Talk Framelits (129983).  She "framed" it with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, clever, eh? (133324).  That piece of Real Red card stock she cut 2" x 3 1/2". 

The next project is for Donny's school bus drivers - she made two - one for morning and one for the evening drivers

How simple and cute (and appropriate) is that?  Just a Mr. Goodbar and some Basic Black card stock. Two wheels punched with the 1 3/8" Circle punch (119860) and some 1" squares (124094)!!  A little "art work" from Donny and you have a darling edible school bus!

Chevron Border Punch Lattice Technique Wedding Card

We have a few weddings coming up this summer, so I decided I would make another lattice card using the Chevron Border Punch.  I had to use a retired roller, but I'm sure you will forgive me {big grin}.  I ended up not order the one in the current catalog and now it's gone too.......I'm seriously thinking of unmounting my rollers and mounting them on wood or using them as cling mounts!  What do you think of that idea? 

Wedding Card

So for this card I used a Whisper White Card Bse and added a piece of Soft Suede.  I then added another layer of Whisper White - before attaching I cut out two chevrons with the Chevron Border Punch - top and bottom. Then I cut two lattices with the Chevron Border Punch and added them (opposite way).  I find if I use a little Two-Way Glue Pen under the pieces they stick really well

I then stamped with the roller and Soft Suede Ink - cut them and used the Scallop Tag Topper .  Added these to the front and then "closed" them with the 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon! 

Love how it turned out!
