Tools: Stampin’ Trimmer; Stampin’ Up Scoring Tool
Instructions:
Line up the 8 ½” x 5 ½” Daffodil Delight piece on the Scoring tool with the 8 1/2'” side along the top and score at ½”, 2 ½”, 4 ½” and 6½”. Turn and placing the ½” scored area at the BOTTOM, score on the 3” mark down the the THIRD SCORE LINE. I marked the scoring lines on my samples, so you could see them
Cut away the ½” piece from the center to the right side. Angle the edges of the piece left for the tab. Cut up on the right side (shown in picture below) to the score line on the three scoring lines
Fold down the three pieces (don’t fold the unscored area as that will be the “back” of your card
Add Sticky Strip Tape to the tab and fold up to make your box
Cut two pieces of card stock 1” x 2 ¼” and score on each end. Fold these over into a “Z” shape, folding each end the opposite way. Add sticky strip to each end and attach inside your “box” spacing them about 1/3 and 1/3….before securing, check to be sure they are parallel with the back and front (yes I put them the other way first!!!)
- Decorating is next. You will need 4 pieces of designer series paper cut 2 ¼” x 1 ¾” and they will be adhered to the 4 “open” sides including the back. Then cut three pieces 2 ¾” x 1 ¾” and they will be adhered to the three sides at the bottom
- Add a piece of Whisper White card Stock to the back which measures 5 ¼” x 1 ¾” (this is where you can stamp and sign your card)
- Stamp a piece of Whisper White with Tangerine Tango with “Oh Hello” and punch out with the 2 ½” circle punch
- Cut out a piece of Daffodil Delight with the Starburst Framelits and the Big Shot using the 3rd to the smallest Framelit
- Stamp “Celebrate” with Island Indigo on Whisper White and cut out with the smallest Starburst Framelit.
- Stamp Happy Birthday from Itty Bitty Banners in Gumball Green on Whisper White and cut out with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelit
- Attach “Oh, Hello” to the yellow Starburst and attach to the back. Your card will fold up to fit into an envelope, so you need to place the starburst on the back with just a bit over on the left side.
- Add “Celebrate” sentiment to front and tie yellow seam binding in a bow and attach to front with dimensionals.
- Attach 1 ¼” Watercolor Wonder circle to front of Silver Glimmer cut with the 2nd to smallest Starburst framelit with sticky strip tape (snail won’t hold to the glimmer paper). Attach the tooth pick to the back of the silver glimmer starburst circle and attach “Happy Birthday” sentiment to the toothpick with Sticky Strip Tape. Attach this to one of the center pieces with sticky strip tape.
- Fold up your card with the decorated pieces inside to place in envelope!
