The Occasions 2014 Stampin' Up Catalog brought some wonderful new products and one of those is the Spiral Flower Originals Die. This is a FUN die and is SO easy to make and use! I do recommend using a hot glue gun to make sure the flower stays together. I have used mini glue dots (LOTS of them), but to really make them last, I recommend the glue gun!
Here's a card I made to show in my clubs last week
I wouldn't send this card through the mail except in a padded envelope, but hand-carried wold be GREAT!!
Here's the die
And it really DOES make these flowers!! You can fold them with your fingers, or you can use a pair of tweezers, a pencil, a stylus - whatever is handy. Just start at the "small" end and wrap around.
And here's a video showing how to make the flowers
You can use one layer, two layers, two different colors,.....your imagination will make these endless!! Sponge around the scallops to give it a "chic" look!!
On the card above, I used Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and then put Real Red and Daffodil Delight togehter. Add some basic pearls or rhinestones to the center and you have a beautiful flower! Make them open or closed as in a bud!! Beautiful!
