Valentine's Day Card Swaps from Leadership

Valentine's Day is the most "card sharing" day of the year!!  Did you know that?  Do you do your share of sending cards for February 14th? I HOPE that you share your love through hand-made cards.  I'm sharing some of the beautiful ones I received as swaps from the Stampin' Up Leadership Conference and I'm hoping they will inspire you to make a few to send!!

Gettin' you ready for Valentine's Day

I wanted to offer another cute and REALLY, quick and easy Valentine's Day Treat Holder.  This one goes together in just minutes and you can make them in multiples - kid's treats for the classmates, teachers or even those you work with!!  Anyone will love them and especially the treat inside!!

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Just Sayin' (133200 W, 133203 C, page 36 Occasions Catalog)

Card Stock: Whisper White; Red Glimmer Paper (121790, page 156); Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (132996, page 33 Occasions Catalog)

Ink:  Black

Embellishment:  8" Real Red 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126875, page 173)

Punch:  Scalloped Tag Topper (133324, page 36, Occasions Catalog)/ Small Heart (117193, page 183)

Big Shot:  Word Bubbles Framelits Dies (132968, page 36 Occasions Catalog)

And here's a quick tutorial

1. Cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 2" x 7".  Score at 2 3/4" and 4 1/4". 

2.  Punch out each end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch

3.  Fold on score lines

4.  Wrap a 1" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper around the candy and attach to inside with glue dots

5.  Add Red Glimmer Hearts to top of candy and front of treat holder

6.  Stamp "Love Ya" from Just Sayin' Stamp Set and cut out with Word Bubble Framelit Die.  Attach to front with dimensional

7.  Tie treat holder together with Real Red 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon

Valentine Treat Holders

Today has been an "inside" day.  Oh, that's right - MOST of my days are "inside" days!!!  But today was COLD outside with that "frosty tree" look.  So I cranked up the heat in my craft room and made some Valentine Treats. 

These were inspired by another demo, Brenda Quintana and I had SUCH fun making them.  I have two granddaughter's and they will LOVE these little purses!!

Are these cute or what?  Thanks Brenda for the inspiration!

I wanted YOU to be able to make some, so here's a quick tutorial

I used the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper (126902, page 154)  and coordinating colors of card stock

Daffodil Delight

Marina Mist

Real Red

Rich Razzleberry

1.  Cut a piece of Card Stock 2" x 6".  Score along the 6" side at 1 1/2", 2 7/8", 4 1/2" and 4 3/4"

2.  Cut a piece of coordinating Polka Dot Parade DSP 2" x 1 1/4".  Attach this piece to the "top" of the card stock (1 1/4" x 2")

3. Punch the top with the  Scallope Tag Topper Punch (133324, page 35 Occasions Catalog)

4.  Flip "tag" over and add sticky strip to the 1/4" strip

5.  Add 6" of 1/4" Stripped Grosgrain Ribbon (I used Pacific Point) for the handle, meeting in the middle

6.  Fold on all score lines to make your purse.  Using the Paper Piercing Tool (126189, page 179), poke a hole in the front

7.  Add a Candy Dots Brad Base and a Candy dot

8. And don't forget the "TREAT".  I used Hershey's Nuggets and covered them with some more DSP.  I used a 3" x 1" piece; added a little bit of sticky tape and then some glue dots to hold them in the purse
