Just LOVE how this card turned out - my favorite color is purple/lavender and any shades between!! So this card just suited me - maybe I'll give it to myself for my birthday???? No I don't give myself cards - silly me!!
So it will have to saved for someone special, eh?
For this card I added an extra panel - how to do that? Really easy. If you want it to come together in the center, instead of cutting your card stock 6" x 5 1/2", you will add 2" to the 6" side - so 8" x 5 1/2". I cut the card stock and then added my piece of designer series paper cut 2 3/4" x 5 1/4" I lined it up on the 6" mark - adhered the three sides.
Then.....to keep it from being cut off (ask me how i KNOW), you add the card to the framelit and pull the extra 2" piece up through, so it doesn't get cut off - yep I forgot the first time and cut off that extra piece.
Here's some pictures, so you get the idea!
After you run it through the Big Shot, you will need to score at the 2" mark and fold valley to meet the center.
The just embellish your card!! On the finished one, can you see the little scallops - I used the new Rotary Trimmer with the Scallop Blade to cut it!! Fun, fun.
Then I ran both sides through the Big Shot with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder!! I think it finishes off the card beautifully!!
