Yes, I finally got my Thinlits Dies - oh these are FUN and SO easy to do. I had fun whipping out a couple tonight while waiting for some of our kids to arrive!
These are brand new (available August 1st.). We saw them demonstrated at the Stampin' Up Convention and couldn't wait until they were available!!
YOU can see by the picture above that they are "interactive" cards. What fun! And SO easy to use. But not only do they come with the "thinlit" to cut out the card VERY quickly, they also come with lots of other fun parts and pieces
Thinlits Circles
Isn't that just the coolest?
And here's the Thinlits Labels
Just so you know these are easy peasy to use. What it entails is cutting a piece of card stock 6" x 5 1/2" and laying the thinlit on and running it through the Big Shot (preferably on your Magnetic Platform). That's totally IT!! And you have this cool card that is "interactive".
Here are some I have made and I'll be sharing more in the next couple of days! Yes, I'm going crazy with them.
This is the front
and here it is open
Isn't that just SO neat? With this card I used Designer Series Paper and I truly don't recommend it, because it's a bit thin and won't stand up really well. So, I will share how to add DSP to your card stock and make a much more "stable" card.
Stamp Sets: Festive Flurry (131778 W, 131781 C, page 30 Holiday Catalog), Snow Soiree (127922 W, 127925 C)
Card Stock: Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer (124005, page 156)
Ink: Coastal Cabana
Embellishments: Frosted Finishes Embellishments (132150, page 28 Holiday Catalog)
Big Shot: Thinlits Circle Dies (133480); Festive Flurries Framelits (132193, page 30 Holiday Catalog)
And Here's another one

With this one, I covered the Basic Black Card Stock with Modern Medley Designer Series Paper and cut it at the same time I cut out the card. TIP: When you adhere the DSP to the card stock, be sure and only use adhesive on three sides - not the interior sides, as these will be cut and need to be loose to be taken out of the cut. Clear as mud? You'll see what I mean when you do it.
For this card I completely covered the front of the card stock - in other cards, I left a frame and I'll give you all those measurements
Stamp Set: Lots of Thanks (129687 W, 129690 C, p[age 29)
Card Stock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (126926, page 154)
Ink: Basic Black
Big Shot: Thinlits Labels Collection (133479)
To add DSP to the front of each side, you will cut the left side 5 1/2" x 2 1/8" and for the ride side 5 1/2" x 2 15/16". I will be sharing more cards and will give you the dimensions for them later.
and here's one more
I left this one plain on the inside
Stamp Set: Fabulous Phrases (128577 W, 120501 C, page 70)
Card Stock: Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Afternoon Picnic (131390, page 151)
Ink: Coastal Cabana
Embellishment: Basic Pearls (119247, page 171)
Big Shot: Thinlits Labels (133479), Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (117335, page 191)
I ran the front left of the card through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder after cutting it out. I think it matches SO well with the beautiful Coastal Cabana polka dots from Afternoon Picnic DSP. The sentiment is stamped and them cut out with the little framed piece from the Thinlits Labels collection - I love how it looks
