Have you ever thought of coloring the Silver Glimmer Paper? Since this is Stampin' Up's 25th Anniversary, the Silver Glimmer Paper is perfect - but sometimes you just want a different color, right?
Patty Bennett shared the easiest way to color the Silver Glimmer paper. Just use our Spritzers (!26185, page 179), some rubbing alcohol and your reinkers - you have a LARGE array of colors all matching the card stock you are using. What a nifty trick!
So we did this at our Technique Tuesday and here's the card we made
Stamp Set: Creat a Cupcake (121915 W; 121982 C page 49);
Card Stock: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper (124005, page 160)
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Big Shot: Elegant Lines Embossing Folder (119277, page 189); Beautiful Wings Embosslit (118138, page 188)
I cut out the Beautiful Wings butterflies in the Silver Glimmer Paper. I mixed up Marina Mist, Elegant Eggplant, Gumball Green and Daffodil Delight with alcohol in the Stampin' Spritzers. I filled each bottle 3/4 with Rubbing Alcohol and then with 7-10 drops of reinker. I sprayed each butterfly then attached them to the front of the card with mini glue dots.
Isn't that just the neatest trick? Thanks Patty for sharing that quick tip. A color for every creation you need :)
