Chalkboard Technique; You Are My Sunshine

This is the card we made in our club meetings in February using the Chalkboard Technique.  Click here to see the sample and for a little tutorial

Stamp Set:  You are My Sunshine (132671 - a Single Stamp Limited Edition offered by Stampin' Up only available through March 31st - click here to see more single stamps)

Card Stock:  Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Parker's Patterns Designer Series Paper (131021, page 20 Spring Catalog); Creped Filter Paper (129393, page 6 Spring Catalog)

Ink:  VersaMark (102283, page 159); White Embossing Powder (109132, page 159); White Craft Ink (101731, page 157)

Punch:  1 3/4" Scallop Circle (119854, page 184)

I used the brand new Creped Filter Paper from teh Spring Catalog (page 6) for the flower. These are fun to make and SO easy

First is to cut out the Creped Filter Paper.  I used 8 layers.  TIP:  when punching, add a piece of copy paper to back to keep the Creped Filter Paper from bunching up.  Cut 8 layers.  Lay them out and sponge Daffodil Delight over each layer.  Gather up the layers and add a brad to the center.  Then scrunch up each layer one at a time.  Fluff them out and add them to your card with mini glue dots!!  A fun and easy way to add dimension to your creations!

The NEWEST Craze in Stamping - Chalkboard Technique

Yes I had to try it and had such fun doing so.  The Chalkboard Technique.  It seems to be the newest crazy in the stamping world.  Such fun!

Here's the card I demonstrated before we made another card.  Love this technique.  I sed the Best of Birthdays Stamp Set that is the limited edition set that Stampin' Up is offering during this, their 25th year.  I used all the stamps in the set and placed them all on my biggest acrylic block and stamped all at once.  Pretty nice!

Stamp Set:  Best of Birthdays (132929 - available only in Clear Mount)

Card Stock:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Red Glimmer Paper (121790, page 160)

Ink:  VersaMark (102283, page 159); White Embossing Powder (109132, page 159); Watercolor Pencils (101879, page 157); Whisper White Craft Pad (101731)

Punch:  Small Heart (117193, page 183)

Tools:  Heat Tool (129053, page 159); Stampin' Sponges (101610, page 179)

Here's a quick tutorial on how to do the "Chalkboard Technique"

1.  Start with Basic Black Card Stock

2.  Stamp image in VersaMark

3.  Heat set White Embossing Powder over image

4.  Using a Stampin' Sponge, spread a little bit of white craft ink over to give it the "chalkboard" look

That's it!!  Easy, eh?

Stampin' UP All Dressed Up Framelits

This is probably one of my favorite cards made with the Stampin' UP All Dressed Up Framelits.  I love the little "Sweater" effect!!  We made this at a workshop I had recently and the gals loved. it!!

Stamp Set:  Petite Pairs (122495 W, 122497 C, page 132)

Card Stock:  Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Crumb Cake; Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (125406, page 165)

Ink:  Baja Breeze

Embellishments:  Basic Pearls (119247, page 175

Punches:  Scallop Oval (119856, page 184); Large Oval (119855, page 184)

Big Shot:  Dress Up Framelits (130101, page 32 Spring Catalog);' Elegant Lines Embossing Folder (119277, page 189)

Here's a close of the dress and sweater and a little tutorial on how to make the dress with the sweater and the coordinating top and skirt!!

You will cut one "sleeved" dress in Baja Breeze - cut this at the waist and then downthe center.  Using the Paper piercing tool, mark three "button holes".  Add three smallest Basic Pearls to the opposite side fo rthe buttons

Cut one sleeveless dress in Baja Breeze and another sleeveless dress in the Twitterpated print pattern.

Cut the Baja Breeze Dress at the waist and attach it to the back of the Twitterpated Print so there is a bit of Baja Breeze showing at the top and bottom.  Attach dress to the Crumb Cake Dress Form and the sweater over the top pulling the center apart just a tad.  Add pearsl to the dress form - and you are all dressed up and ready to go......

Stampin' Up Pop 'n Cuts with Secret Garden Stamp Set

The new Stampin' Up Pop 'n Cuts is such a fun set of tools.  And the are definitely not limited to just the All Dressed Up products.  Here's a card I made using the Secret Garden Stamp Set.  Just love the Secret Garden Stamp Set and coordinating framelits - we don't have to handcut flowers any more - YIPPEE! Connie Babbert, another Stampin' UP Demonstrator shared this idea and it LOVE that these products are so versatile!
