Have you seen the Spirelli Technique. It's really interesting and SO fun to do. So many possibilities, so little time, eh?
So....I started by using the 2 3/8" scallop punch - I made up a bunch of them and could hardly stop myself :). I made up a little board with all the different "sizes" although I'm sure size is the correct wording. But here's a scan of what I showed the gals.

This shows the different "look" when you skip a certain number of scallops. Starting at the top, you would skip six scallops....then 5 scallops etc. until you would be skipping just two scallops
Then you can add whatever embellishment you want in the center.
Here's a little "tutorial" on how to do Spirelli - samples below!
Supplies
- Card Stock scallops (punched or cut with Big Shot)
- Baker’s Twine in coordinating colors
- Mini Glue Dots and Scissors
Instructions
Adhere one end of your Baker’s Twine to the back side of the scallop with a mini glue dot
Run thread from a scallop valley to another scallop valley. Skip at least 3 scallops for the “wrap.” Make sure it’s taut.
Continue “wrapping” in one direction only, always skipping the same amount of scallops. (If you work counter clockwise, always continue in the counter clockwise way.)
Continue “wrapping”. You will be doubling up on each scallop valley with the thread until all valleys have 2 threads each.
Adhere the Baker’s Twine on the back when the wrapping is finished. Cut the thread.
TIP: Experiment with skipping different number of scallops

Punch: 2 3/8" Scallop Circle (118874, page 184)
I first stamped the Hello Doily in VersaMark - added White Embossing Powder and heat set it. I then sponged the doily with Wisteria Wonder - used a tissue to wipe off excess ink. Then did my Spirelli with the Wisteria Wonder 2 3/8" scallop and Wisteria Wonder Baker's Twine.
I then stamped the delicate doily and punched it out with teh 1 1/4" punch and added that to the center of the spirelli. Adhered to the center of the doily and then stamped the sentiment in Wisteria Wonder. LOVE how this turned out - I coudl have used any color - in fact want to make a bunch of these to have on hand!
