Sneak Peak from the Spring Catalog 2013

Can you believe this is the last day of 2012 - it has simply flown by; and now we are approaching a whole New Year!!  Yippee!!

I want to wish all a very Happy New Year and hope 2013 is your best year yet!!

And a new year means a brand new catalog - well a brand new seasonal catalog.  We can now go beyond the holidays and focus on other projects, right? 

I wanted to share this card I made today - it's using the new All Dressed Up Bundle from the Spring Catalog (page 32).  I have to confess I didn't "get it" at first!!  I purchased the bundle with the stamp set and framelits and didn't even see the Card Base Pop 'n Cuts and Dress From Pop 'n Cuts.  Then I saw a video and - just had to purchase them!!  This is using a brand new type of die and is SO easy to use.  I can testify to that!

Merry Christmas!!

Yes we had a White Christmas!  Woke up to about 2-3 inches of snow this morning!  Brrr - but it's beautiful!  But....all my kids have to drive over the mountains home this afternoon - don't like that part of the White Stuff!

I hope you all have a wonderful and peaceful day and your holidays are filled with family! 

I wanted to share this set of cards I made - they are very appropriate for today - these were a hostess gift for my last workshop of the year!

And I made this fun card holder

These were easy to make - I cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and ran through the Big Shot using the Holiday Collection Framelits.  I added the Snow Festival DSP to some Cherry Cobbler and attached the cut out to the front.

The Perfect Bag Revisted!!

We learned how to make "The Perfect Bag" at the 2008 Stampin' Up Convention.  I've made a gazillion of them since and found I needed some bags again this year.  So I made up these in just a little while

These measure approximately 8 1/2" x 8" x 2" and hold quite a bit of "stuff".  They are SO easy to make.  You can view my tutorial here from last year and here from 2008

Last minute gift idea! Post-it Note Holder

I needed some quick gifts, so made these 3" x 3" post-it note holders.  I thought I would share these with you just in case you also need some quick last-minute gifts. 

Here's a quick tutorial!!

You can see I used all different colors and designer series paper.  Anything colors and coordinating DSP will work.

Step 1.  Cut piece of card stock 7 3/8" x 3 1/4".  Score along the 7 3/8" side at 3 1/8", 3 1/2" and 3 7/8"

Step 2:  Fold on the 3 1/2" score line and cut with paper snips in the center of the fold.  This is the pen holder

Step 3.  Add Sticky Strip to the are on each side of the above slits and between the 3 1/2" and 3 7/8" score lines

Step 4:  Fold this to the BACK of your holder

Step 5:  You can now pop out the pen holder.  Add your post it note by putting Sticky Strip on the back and adhering it to the inside

Step 6. Decorate the front, add pen and you are DONE!!

I used the Blossom Punch  to punch out Whisper White - added some DSP, then the blossom punch and then used the Boho Blossom Punch to add a little extra to the center.  Simple, but I think they will be appreciated.

More cards from our Demonstrator Meeting Swap

Wanted to share the rest of the cards from our Demonstrator Swap.  I'm afraid I missed one or two, as I don't have the total number we swapped;  Maybe someone will send me a picture?????

This is SUCH a sweet card. Mary J made this and it's really beautiful IRL!!

Mary used the Summer Silhouettes Stamp Set (page 82 of the catalog) - she embellished it with a button which really sets it off!!  Beautiful

Isn't this card just SO cute - and ready for Valentine's Day!!  Phyllis V. created this little beauty

Phyllis stamped the jar from Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set (page 29 Holiday Catalog) on window sheet and then cut out the shape with the Cannery Set Framelits is the Basic Gray card stock.   The little hearts are pouring of the jar - cute, eh?

This classic was shared by Gina A. and just love love the colors together.  Night of Navy, Bashful Blue and Early Espresso - stunning.  The French Foliage Stamp Set (page 86 of the catalog) is such a classic set!!

This one doesn't have a name either, so can't give credit where credit is due.  This is using the new "Snow Flake" stamp that is offered as a single stamp.  Very stunning card!!

Swap from our Demonstrator Meeting

I am still needing to share these wonderful cards from our demonstrator meeting in November.  They have been patiently waiting on my desk, so need to get busy and share them!

I'm fortunate to be associated with such talented ladies.  This card is just exquisite - Maralee R. did a wonderful job don't you think?  I've shared these with my customers and they all thought this one was just absolutely beautiful

Can you see the Champaign Glimmer paper - just that little touch really sets this card off!  Maralee used the Evergreen Stamp Set which is in the Holiday Catalog (page 8). 

And just LOVE this little cowboy boot.  So creative.  Carol H. made this little beauty!! 

The Cherry Cobbler Core'dinations Paper (sanded) just really sets this one off!!

And this one - SO simple, yet SO effective.  Sheri K used the beautiful Delicate Doilies Sizzlits for this Christmas wreath - she just cut out the center with the 1 3/4" circle punch - added some Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details - - perfect!!

Martine Z shared this lovely card - She stamped one leaf in teh center and then stamped and cut out two more - it really is stunning!!  And then framed with the Tulip Embossing Folder!!  Really nice!

Dont' you just LOVE Mr. and Mrs. Snow Persons???  Tee hee.  This is the Stylin' Snowfolk and all the little details really adds personality to these "folks".  Cathy C. did such a wonderful job on this card.  Love the blue sky and the little bird!!  Cute cute

And how about this darling little Treat Holder - LOVE this one!.  Ellen S. shared this with us

And....it was full of treats too!

This one doesn't have a name, so can't give credit - if the "owner" sees it, please let me know and I'll add your name!!.  Just LOVE the Watercolor Winter Stamp Set (page 14 in the Holiday Catalog).  You can do SO much with this set!!

And one more that didnt have a name.  Again using the Watercolor Winter - really nice!  The background is using the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder and some sponging!!  Really pretty!

Central Oregon Stampin' Up Demonstrator Meeting

I have been a demonstrator for Stampin' Up for almost six years and haven't had the chance to meet other local demonstrators.  So LaVonne S and I arranged a meeting which we had in December.  What fun!!   I believe there were 12 of us who attended and we had a wonderful time getting acquainted!  One of the things we really enjoyed was a card swap.  And I wanted to share all the cards these talented ladies made!  So over the next few days, you will see them!

First we did a "Make 'n Take".  Just what it implies.  We made a card while we were together.  I received inspiration for this card from Penny Smiley!.  A wonderful and creative lady whose talent I admire!

Card Stock:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler

You can't see it real well, but we stamped the little deer from Make a Mitten Stamp Set with VersaMark and then enbossed with clear embossing powder.  Just wrapped the sweater trim around the "wrists" and adhered with a mini glue dot. 

We used Stampin' Write Markers to color the mug, so we could get the "chocolate" and then made a slit for teh steam.  Mounted the mug and mittens with dimensionals.
