Nothing like stamping......

As a Stampin' Up Demonstrator (which I LOVE BTW), I very seldom get the chance to stamp just for the fun of it!  I'm usually prepping for a class, Stamp-A-Stack, or a workshop or party.  I love that part of my job (yes I really do), but once in a while it's fun to stamp something someone else has planned!! 

And I was able to do that recently.  I attended my downline, Shelly's Christmas Stamp-A-Stack. She did a fantastic job and I thoroughly enjoy myself.  I thought I would share the cards and projects we made!!

She even had a Halloween card at the Christmas SAS - what fun and I just LOVE this simple, but darling idea!!

Owls are the "in" thing right now and don't you just LOVE this little "jailhouse" owl?  We wrapped Whisper White Baker's Twine around this little guy!!  Simple, but oh, so cute!!

Fall Gifts for some special people

It's always fun to surprise special people with a little gift.  Krista P. organized our SUDSOL (Stamping Up Demonstrators Sharing On Line) swap at the Tacoma Regionals.

I wanted to show my appreciate for her work, so made her this little gift.  I also made one for my daughter and sister who took a whole day out of their busy lives to go with me to Tacoma!  Thanks girls!

My pads were 4" x 8".  I cut my card stock 9" by 8 1/2".  Scored at 4" and 4 1/2".  Attached the pad (found in the dollar section at a local hobby store) with sticky strip.  Add a piece of magnet to the back and decorated the front!  Fun and really easy to make.  Excellent idea for bazaars for this time of year!

What is included in the class?  Everything is cut ahead of time by me - all you need to do, is stamp the images and assemble the cards.  Some items will be cut using the Big Shot or punches as it's always better to stamp and then cut.

TIP:   To make the square using the Scallop Trim Border Punch, you cut a square that is 1 15/16" - put each corner into the punch and it will punch out evenly on all sides!!  Cool, eh?

Are you looking to make quick Christmas Cards? I have the perfect solution for you!!!!!

Another idea we saw the Stampin' Up Convention this past July were these quick and easy Christmas Cards.  Or......these would make great tags for your packages.

Here are the 25 cards I made tonight in about 30 minutes. 

I used the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags on page 12 of the Holiday Catalog (Item # 128152)

You receive 25 printed tags and you can just add any sentiment you want. 

I used the Stamp Set Greetings of the Season (128030 W, 128033 C , page 8 Holiday Catalog) and

Snowflake Soiree (127922 W, 127925 C, page 5 Holiday Catalog)

I stamped the sayings in Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green

I then mounted the tags on our Note Cards found on page 160 of the catalog  (Item # 107311)

The note cards come 20  in a package with 20 envelopes! 

Quick and SO easy

There are 25 preprinted tags - 5 each of 5 different designs.

Another great idea would be to add these tags to regular card stock, maybe with some fun embossing for backgrounds!

Another Halloween Treat Box - #3 in a series of 3 :) Coffin Box

Can't have halloween without a coffin, eh?  I found this idea on our Stampin' Connection (a site for Stampin' Up Demonstrators to share ideas) and just had to make one.  I want to thank Selene K for sharing this with us!

Isn't this just the most clever idea?

I used.....

Petal Cone Bigz L die (121810, page 194)

Basic Black Card Stock

One tag from the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit (126914, page 27 Holiday Catalog)

Wicked Cool Stamp Set (118738 W, 120600 C, page 28)

1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon (127837, page 26 Holiday Catalog)

Step 1:  Using a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2 piece of Basic Black Card Stock, but out the Petal Cone Die

Step 2.  Fold the tab inside and line up the die with the top score line on the 3 1/4" mark.  Trim off the bottom

Step 3.  Turn petal and line up the same score line on the 1 1/4" mark and trim off the top

 

Step 4:  Trim the sides off to make the "coffin" shape

This is what it should look like now

 

Step 5:  Add sticky tape to the bottom and to the tab

 

Step 6:  Remove the bottom piece first and adhere the tab to it.  Then remove the tape from the tab and fold the other side over the tab.

 


And now you have your "coffin" treat holder

Add ribbon around the score line

and your tag to the front - add candy and give your "treat"

Halloween Treat Box #2 - Petite Die Purse and Monster Munchies

One of the things I LOVE about going to the Stampin' UP Annual Convention is all the neat, creative ideas we see either displayed or demonstrated.  Shannon West is a great on-stage presenter and she did a Halloween demonstration - SO many cool ideas.  THIS one was just 'da BOMB. 

Monster Munchies Treat Box

This is made from the Petite Purse Big Shot Die - can you believe it?

If you have this die - you are going to be DYING to make one or more of these for those little monsters who come to your door.

So I thought I would do a little tutorial for you!!

You will need:

Petite Purse Die (125606, page 194)

Monster Munches Stamp Set (127904 W 127907 C, page 26 Holiday Catalog)

Basic Black Card Stock cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper 3/4" x 8 3/4" piece (126906, page 24)

Ice Cream Sticks

1 1/4" Square Punch (119865, page 183)

Scallop Square Punch (119884, page 183)

Two Neutrals (black) brads (119736, page 174)

Some ribbon

Step 1.  Cut our the petite purse die with Basic Black Card Stock

Step 2.  Add Sticky Strip Tape to both tabs

 

Step 3.  Line up the top score line on the 1" mark on your cutter and SCORE

 

 

 

Step 4: Add Sticky Strip along this score line

Step 5.  Remove the red tape and assemble the purse die side tabs first and then the "top" adhering it closed with the sticky tape

Step 6.  Turn purse over and with scissors cut down the middle of the top

 

Step 7.  Fold these flaps down and adhere with mini glue dots to the sides of the "box"

 

Step 8.  Cut a piece of designer series paper 3/4" x about 6".  Adhere to the flaps on both back and front

 



Step 9:  Stamp "Monster Munchies Just for You" on Whisper White and punch out with 1 1/4" punch (you will cut off the "bolts"   Punch out a scallop square in Pumpkin Pie and adhere to back.  Add brads to the sides.  I inserted a mini glue dot first and then stuck the brad in that to secure it!

Step 10:  Add popsicle stick to back of greeting with mini glue dots and adhere bottom of stick to the inside of the box.  Add ribbon on front if desired and fill with candies!!

Halloween Treat Holder - Quick and Easy Project

Are you looking for a fun and quick treat holder for Halloween - I have three I'm going to share with you over the next few days.

This is one we made at our club meetings this month.  They hold one Reese's Peanut Butter Cup or two small Hershey's treats!  These are quick and easy!  And we used the Illuminate Stamping Pad which really emphasizes the spider web!!

Stamp Sets: Toxic Treats (127898 W 127901 C, page 25 Holiday Catalog) Googly Ghouls (128060 W, 128063 C, page 27 Holiday Catalog)

Card Stock:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie

Ink:  Black Staz-on, Illuminate Glimmer Waterma Stampin' Pad (126857 page 23 Holiday Catalog)rk

Embellishments: 1/8" Pumpkin Pie  Taffeta Ribbon (119253, pge 172), 1/2" Basic Gray Striped Satin Ribbon (127837, page 26 Holiday Catalog)

Punch:  Little Labels Punch Pack (126881, page 183)

Big Shot:  Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die (127005, page 192), Spider Web Embossing Folder (120889, page 189)

I first cut out the Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die in Basic Black, and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Spider Web embossing folder.  Then we lined it up on the Stampin' Simply Score and made two scoring lines at 2 1/2" and 3".  We next stamped with the new Illuminate Glimmer Watermark STampin' Up - just by stamping over the spider webs.  It really gives it a glimmer and brings out the webs!!

The next step was to fold on the score lines and line up the tops and punch out with the Little Labels Punch Pack and tied ribbon.  Next we stamped and added the sentiment to the front with dimensionals.  Added candy and that's IT!!  Quick and easy treat holder.
