Do you like really quick and easy cards? The new Occasions Mini Catalog has a set of beautiful cards called Designer Cuts. I wanted to share the set I made up and gave as a Grand Prize at my Valentine's Stamp-A-Stack last Saturday. These cards come as a set of 8 with 4 each of the two different delicate laser-cut cards and coordinating envelopes.
And they are close up
I added some Red Glitter Paper (121790 page 181) behind the laser cuts and also two hearts cut with the Framelits Hearts Collection (125599, page 6 Occasions Mini Catalog)
I used Blushing Bride Card Stock for this card - cut hearts with the brand new Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die (125596, page 35 Occasions Mini Catalog), added some Blushign Bride 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon (125570, page 12 Occasions Mini Catalog) and used the Adorning Accents Textured Impression Embossing Folders to emboss the hearts on the top of the card! Love how it turned out!!
With this card I used Baja Breeze and the coordinating Baja Breeze 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon (125571, page 12 Occasions Mini Catalog). Really simple, but stunning
I cased this fom another demonstrator with just a couple of changes, but love how it turned out. I threaded Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon through the laser cuts and tied it on the front. Added some Blushing Bride card stock behind the laser cuts and using the Punch Pack flower punch I made little flowers and added Basic Pearls. The sentiment is from Word Play (WM 120308, CM 120651, page 156). This is really a stunner in real life!! Hard to capture in pictures!
With this set of cards, I cut out the backing with the Framelits Hearts and attached them behind the laser cuts. This one uses Riding Hood Red Card Stock and the coordinating Riding Hood Red 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon (as you can see I just LOVE this new ribbon - 125569, page 12 Occasions Mini Catalog)
This one really caught everyone's attention The Red Glitter paper just really shines in this card. I made the bottom piece with the Adorning Accents Edgelits also new in the Occasions Mini Catalog (125595, page 7 Occasions Mini Catalog). The heart is also cut from the Fashionable Hearts Embosslits (125596, page 35 Occasions Mini Catalog)
I cased this idea with a few changes from another demonstrator and just love how the Basic Pearls just make this card!! I used the Framelits Hearts Collection to cut out the framing heart (and also one for the back of the laser cut). Then added the lines of basic pearls around the heart. This is done in Bashful Blue
For this card, I actually cut out the laser cut heart with the Framelits Hearts and added the Blushing Bride 3/8"Pleated Satin Ribbon behind the heart. I added another heart behind the laser cuts too
If you have any questions about these cards, leave me a comment, or email me and I'll be happy to help

Thanks for the comments. Yes the colored card stock is just cut a tab larger and adhered to the front behind the designer cuts. And yes you can blame me for having to order these. They are just SO fun to work with!! and easy - enjoy!

Ya know, it's all your fault that I just ordered 2 packs of these Designer Cut's.....lol. Obviously, I love your idea's...lol. But I do have a question. Like on the first few pictures, did you just adhere the colored card stock on the inside of the card? I would really like to see the inside of those cards.... Now will it be ok if I tell my darling hubby that it's your fault I had to place another order? I will point out I got something for free....LOL. thanks for sharing your fantastic creativity
