As part of our Thanksgiving tradition, us girls love to take a day and make cards. This year I used the Tea Time Simply Sent Kit (122374, page 189).
I used the card stock that comes with the Simply Sent Kits (8 pieces of 12" x 12" textured card stock) for my card bases. I cut each piece to make two card bases (8 1/2" x 11") and used the leftovers for decorating the cards. So, I came out with 16 card bases, 4 in each color Pool Party, Old Olive, Early Espresso and Pink Pirouette.
I used a One Sheet Wonder template (original idea from Mae Collins) which I changed over to inches instead in centimeters. Click here to down the template. This is just a suggestion on how to cut your 12 x 12 piece - I usually end up "winging" it as I go along depending on which kit I use; but it does have neat layouts!!
The kit comes with six sheets of designer series paper - 4 different designs (with the double sided paper). So with each set you have lots to choose from. I used one sheet of dsp for the one sheet wonder and have lots of paper and sticky die cuts left for either more cards or scrapbook pages. Most likely I will make more cards.
The kits also include three pages of sticky die cuts - two filled with flowers and tags and one with border pieces. I cut these up to make designs on the cards.
Here are all the cards. I ended up making 16 cards - I don't have a #8 card on the template - not sure where that one went, but I just used a piece of designer series paper with some flowers.
I made mostly sympathy cards because I was all out......
