Christmas Card with Shaker Frames and Mica Flakes

Just had to try out the new Shaker Frames which we saw demonstrated at the July Stampin' Up Convention along with the Mica Flakes.

Love the simplicity of this card!

Stamp Set:  Snow Swirled (111690, page 38)

Card Stock: Whisper White, Bashful Blue

Ink:  Bashful Blue

Embellishment: 5/8" Bashful Blue Satin Ribbon (124325, page 195)

Big Shot:  Northern Flurry Textured Impression Embossing Folder (120902, page 219)

Other:  Shaker Frames (124155, page 38, Holiday Mini), Mica Flakes (124115, page 21 Holiday Mini)

Window Sheets:  (114323m page 216),

Punch:  1 1/4" Circle (118761, page 212)  1 3/4" Scallop Circle (119854, page 210), 1 3/8" Circle (119860, page 212)

To make this card, I cut out the Bashful Blue Card Stock 3 7/8" by 5 1/8".  The Whisper White Layer is 3 3/4" x 5".  I added the Shaker Frame to the back of the Whisper White layer - used my 1 1/4" circle punch and punch through the hole.  I then added the Mica Flakes and then a 1 3/8" circle punched from the window sheet). 

I punch out a 1 3/8" circle in whisper white and lined up the Scallop Circle over that and added that scallop "ring" around the opening!  After I ran the whisper white through the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder

The Shaker Frames are really neat - as you get a total of 36 frames in each package.  They circles measure 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2" and 1 3/4".  So they coordinate with our circle punches beautifully!

Christmas Lodge Holiday Card

I just LOVE this Christmas Lodge Stamp Set - it's beautiful in any color!!  Can't seem to get enough of it

Stamp Set: Christmas Lodge (WM 123767, CM 123769, page 29 Holiday Mini)

Card Stock:  Island Indigo, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper (124005, page 41 Holiday Mini)

Ink:  Island Indigo

Embellishment:  Island Indigo 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon (122974, page 194)

Other:  Dazzling Details Glittter Glue (124117, page 41, Holiday Mini)

It was FUN to try out the Dazzling Details Glitter Glue on this card.  I stamped the lodge in Island Indigo Classic Ink - then used my Stampin' Write Marker also in Island Indigo and added the Happy Holidays sentiment.  I "painted" the roof and the front of the lodge with the Dazzlign Details to give it glimmer.

The Silver Glimmer Paper sets off the lodge beautifully.  That is cut 5 1/4" x 4"

 The Whisper White on which I stamped the lodge is 4" x 3" and the Island Indigo to mat the whisper white is 4 1/8" x 3 1/8"

I sure hope Stampin' Up carries the Silver Glimmer Paper over into the new catalog - just LOVE it!!

Holly Berry Christmas Card

I love making up lots of samples for holiday cards.  Over the next few days, I'll share some I have made.  Hope you enjoy seeing them and these ideas will spark your own creativity! 

First card is a 5" x 5" card made with the Holly Berry Designer Series Paper. 

Stamp Set:  Bells & Boughs (WM 120831, CM 121142, page 43)

Card Stock:  Real Red, Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty Designer Series Paper (124004, page 20 Holiday Mini)

Ink:  Black Stazon,  So Saffron, Real Red, Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Markers

Punches:  2 3/8" Scallop Circle (118874, page 210), 1 3/4" Circle (119850, page 212), 1 1/4" Square (119865, page 212), Corner Rounder (119871, page 212)

Big Shot:  Circles #2 Originals Dies (114526, page 220), Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (116824, page 219)

I will share all the measurements, to save you time on this card.

Card Base:  5" x 10"  folded to a 5" x 5" card

Always artichoke layer 4 3/4" square

Whisper White Layer:  2 1/8" - cut 4 squares and corner round two opposite corners.  Run through Petals-A-Plenty embossing foder.

Holly Berry Bouquet layer:  2" cut 4 squares and corner round two opposite corners.

Whisper White Layer:  Punch 4 with 1 1/4" punch.  Run through Petals-a-Plenty embossing foder and corner round two opposite corners.

Attach these three layers to Always Artichoke layer

Center circle is 1 3/4" - first stamp bells and color with Stampin' Write Markers.  Attach to 2" circle cut from Circles #2 Original die.  Mount on Real Red  2 3/8" scallop circle.
