Oops – found another Thanksgiving Card……Embossing

Oh dear, I thought I was done with Thanksgiving cards to share, but here's another one.  I cased this from a colleague and can't remember where….thanks for the inspiration.  Love embossing and also using Vellum – yes you can emboss on Vellum – just be careful that you don't get it too close and burn the paper…

IMG_0253_resizeStamp Sets:  Gently Falling (WM 123802, CM 123804, page 16 Holiday Mini), Hand-Penned Holidays (WM 124310, CM 124312, page 15 Holiday Mini)

Card Stock:  Pool Party, Early Espresso, Whispe rWhite, White Vellum Card Stock Weight (101856, page 181), Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (124003, page 17 Holiday Mini)

Ink:  Pool Party, Soft Suede, Versamark, Gold Embossing Powder

Embellishment:  Pool Party 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon (122975, page 194)

Punch:Scallop Edge Border (119882, page 211)

Big Shot:  Houndstooth Textured Impression Embossing Folder (123134, page 218)

Measurements:  Card Base 11" x 4 1/4"

Early Espresso 5 1/8 x 3 7/8"

Whisper White:  5 x 3 3/4"

Vellum:  3 3/4" square

Spice Cake DSP: 3 3/4" x 1 1/2"

I used the Scallop Edge Border Punch on the Vellum – then stamped "Give Thanks" in versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder.

For the whisper white piece, I stamped the outline in Soft Suede and then with Pool Party and Soft Suede for the inside of the leaves.

I ran the Pool Party card base through the Big Shot with the Houndstooth embossing folder – mounted the whisper white on the early espresso – then mounted the Spice Cake DSP on top of the vellum and then both pieces on the Whisper White.  I then tied the ribbon around and mounted all on the card base

Love this card – simple, but elegant

And Happy Thanksgiving to all my stamping friends!!
