I've been having fun making Halloween cards - here are a few I made to show at last week's club meetings.
I love this card because it shows lots of designer series paper. Fun.
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Wicked Cool (WM 118738, CM 120600, page 24)
Card Stock: Basic Black, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper (122351, page 185)
Ink: Basic Black, Cajun Craze
Embellishment: 1/8" Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon (119261, page 195)
Big Shot: Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (120889, page 218)
I used the Cajun Craze Stampin' Write Marker to add color to the witch socks and hat!!
The designer series paper for the 1st layer is cut 4" square. The old olive is 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" before it is run through the embossing folder.
The square piece on the front is a 4" square piece of DSP. I used the Simply Scored and scored diagonally both directions
Having a hard time lining up the diagonal scores? The Simply Score comes with a "faint" diagonal marking on it. You can line up your diagonal lines with that - or as in the picture, I used a ruler.
After scoring both diagonals, fold up each corner in the center and burnish
Fold back each corner to the outside
When all 4 are folded, you have your "box" to display your sentiment or other images
I wanted the "Ghosts" to be right-side up, but if your designer paper doesnt have that you could turn this piece square to the card.
Cute, eh?
Let me know if you have any questions!! I'm happy to help!
