Do you have lots of those little plastic brad/button containers. Have you kept them, but don't know what to do with them? How about recycling them? I saw this idea recently and I just LOVE this idea. Excellent containers for little goodies. Want to give someone a quick little gift? Just decorate up one of these little containers and fill it with candies, little gifts!! What fun!!
Here's some I did recently - then I will give you a quick tutorial on how to recycle these cute little containers!
Supplies:
Empty Button/Brad Containers
Any designer series paper
½” Seam Binding (page 16 Occasions Mini 2011)
Pompom Trim (page 35 Occasions Mini)
Sticky Tape (104294 page 197)
Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755, page 197)
2 ½” Circle Punch (120906, page 11 Occasions Mini 2011)
Step 1. Cut 2 ½” circle from DSP and add Multipurpose Liquid Glue to backside and adhere to top of container
Step 2. Add Sticky Tape around top side of lid
Step 3. Add Pompom Trim to lid edge
Step 4. Add embellishment to top of lid. I used Vintage Flower Adornments. I also made the crinkled flowers and used buttons with a little 1/8” taffeta ribbon tied on!
Step 4. Add sticky tape to side of container and then stick ½” Seam Binding around
And that is it. Fill with fun stuff (i.e. Candy, trinkets, etc. etc.!! I hope you find this tip helpful!!
