I have been SO busy with so many different things. My Big Shot Class on the 30th in Portland for one - everyday I'm making projects to show! And Shelly is too!! It's going to be a great class. Hope you are all signed up for it!
And I'm also helping my sister-in-law with doctor visits, etc. etc. Always something. And because of all this, Easter has snuck up on me!! YIKES - it's Sunday.
Just HAD to make a few cute boxes - with the Big Shot, of course. I found these ideas in various places online - Stampin' Connection mostly - SC is a place for demonstrators to share ideas - there are 37,000+ demonstrators on this Ning website. Think you can't be a demonstrator because you aren't creative or don't have ideas? Me too!! But with Stampin' Connection you can find inspiration for any project you have in mind. Pick a stamp set, designer series paper - and do a search - up comes hundreds, sometimes thousands of ideas!! So many ideas, so little time! Let me know if you are ever interested in becoming a Stampin' UP Demonstrator. I just LOVE what I do and love sharing it with YOU!! Join my team and we can make (well not exactly "music"), but LOTs of fun projects together!!
So....here are a couple of boxes I made tonight. I will fill them with goodies and give them away, of course :)
Is this little guy cute or what? And he even has a tail!!
Here's all the parts and pieces - he's definitely not hard to make - you still have time before the weekend :)
4 - Wide Oval (119859, page 202)in Whisper White (ears and feet)
2 - Large Oval (119855, page 202) in Pretty in Pink (ears)
2 - 1" Circles (119868, page 202) in Pretty in Pink (feet)
2 - 1 1/4" circles (119861, page 202) in Whisper White (cheeks)
2 - 1" Circles (119868, page 202) in Basic Black (eyes)
1 Heart punched with Heart to Heart Punch (119881, page 202)
2 - Top Notes in Whisper White (113463, page 207)
3 - Scallop Circles in Whisper White for the tail
I cut one Fancy Favor Box (115965, page 208). Put the box together with Sticky Strip and then added Sticky Strip to both sides and adhered the bunny to front and back. I added a piece of 3/4" x 8 1/2" card stock for the handle with brads.
I then made the tail using my favorite flowers - the crimped card stock flowers. Click here to see my tutorial on how to make these fun and versatile flowers/tails!! Since making these, I have discovered that I can run the punched scallop circles through the crimper about 6-8 times and that breaks down the fibers enough to tear them apart. Saves me lots of time!
And here's another bunny using the Scallop Circle die (113468, page 207)
And his back!!!
To make him, I used two Scallop Circles cut in Whisper White.
2 - Wide Ovals (ears) Whisper White
2 - Large Ovals (ears) in Pretty in Pink
2 - 1 1/4" Cirles in Pink Pirouette (cheeks)
2 - 1/2" circles in Pacific Point (eyes)
1 - Word Window (119857, page 202) in Daffodil Delight (teeth)
1 - Heart from Heart to Heart in Pretty in Pink
I wanted a little smaller box for this one, so I made my own box.
I cut a piece of Pacific Point Card Stock 4 1/2" x 9 3/8". Next I scored at 3" on the long side and at 3", 4 1/2", 7 1/2" and 9" on the short side.
Assemble the box by folding on all score lines and adding Sticky Strip to the 3/8" tab. Adhere tab to the other side making your box. Add sticky strip to the bottom to close it up.
I then added sticky strip to both sides and added my scallop bunny to the box!
Come back tomorrow to see a couple other boxes I made!!
