As promised here's another project using the Big Shot Top Note Die. This die is definitely the most popular of all the dies that Stampin' Up sells; at least in my customer base. It's SO versatile. Here's another Valentine's project I made. I'm afraid you are going to see a lot of the Glimmer Paper as it's my favorite accent right now (BIG GRIN!!)
Stamp Set: Filled With Love (Now retired)
Card Stock: Real Red, Whisper White, Love Impressions Speciality Designer Series Paper (121780, page 7 Occasions Mini 2011), Glimmer Paper (121790, page 7, Occasions Mini 2011)
Ink: Real Red
Embellishments: Designer Brads Filigree (122577, page 187), Brights Glimmer Brads (121006), Real Red 5/8" Satin Ribbon (about 12") (117286, page 191)
Big Shot: Top Note Die, (113463, page 207), Textured Impressions, Embossing Folder Square Lattice (119976, page 214), Scallopee Heart of Hearts Embosslit (117332, page 215)
Punches: Full Heart (119883, page 202) 3/4" Circle(119873, page 202), 1" Circle (119868, page 202)
I cut out two Top Notes - one in the Glimmer Paper and one in the Love Impressions DSP. I trimmed off about 1 1/2" of the Glimmer Paper and added it to the folded over designer series paper (for the purse flap). I took the bottom of the Glimmer piece and lowered it a bit to show below the bottom of the DSP, and then trimmed off the excess that was showing on the sides. Just added the brad for the "closure"
The Heart is made with two Scallop Heart Embosslits - one in Whisper White and one in the Glimmer Paper. I used the Full Heart punch and punched out the scallop part on the Whisper White and then glued it to the Glimmer Paper
***TIP*** It's hard to keep anything on the glimmer paper without a STRONG adhesive, so I've been using the Sticky Strip to attach anything to it!! If you want to add our Basic Pearls on top of the Glimmer Paper, you will need to add them with a mini glue dot
Here's a closer look at the purse
