Mittens are SO typical of winter/Christmas Season. I saw this card on Becky Roberts site and had to case it. Love those Mittens - "Three Little Kittens Have Lost their Mittens......" Thank goodness we found them :)
Stamp Set: Snow Swirled (111690, page 40)
Card Stock: Baja Breeze, Real Red, Whisper White, Candy Candy DSP (No Longer Available)
Ink: Real Red
Embellishments: Real Red 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (109034, page 191) , Basic Rhinestones (119256, page 188)
Punches: Decorative Label (120907, page 25 Holiday Mini 2010), Wide Oval(119859, page 202), Two-Step Bird (117191, page 202)
The main part of the mitten is the Wide Oval Punch. The thumb is the bird wing from the two-step bird punch. I added the ribbon by putting sticky strip across and gathering the ribbon. The cuff is a piece of DSP cut 1 1/2" x 1/2".
The DSP for the bottom layer is 3" x 3 1/2" and the real red is 3 1/4" x 3 3/4". The top layer DSP is cut 3" x 3 1/4" and the Real Red is cut 3 1/4" x 3 1/2"
I will do a short tutorial on how to "frame" your decorator label punch soon!! Stay tuned!
The Candy Cane Christmas Designer Paper was SO popular that they have run out of stock and are not planning to order any more. Bummer. But.....you could easily substitute the Jolly Holiday Paper featured on page 174 in the catalog (117159). Some Cherry Cobbler mittens would be just as warm this time of year :)
