WOW - that's about all I can say - the whole day was a WOW day. Shelli Gardner (CEO and co-founder of Stampin' Up) is a masterful MC and made the day exciting and also educational. All the presenters had excellent information and the WOW presenters (local demos) were great!! They all said they were nervous, but anyone would be in front of 400 people!!
I wanted to share the Make 'n Takes from the day. We had six and they were all fun, simple projects with the WOW factor included :) The stamp set we received free for attending the Regional Seminar is Day of Gratitute from the Holiday Mini (WM 120835, CM 121148, page 12)
The first project I want to share is a fall scrapbook page. This is a simple but really neat project.
The focal point will be the picture which I haven't found yet, but it will be beautiful. I usually do 12 x 12 pages, so I can add this to a 12 x 12 piece of designer paper or card stock and it will fit in my scrapbook just fine.
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Day of Gratitute (WM 120835, CM 121148, page 12)
Card Stock: Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze Textred , Early Espresso
Ink: Cajun Craze, Old Olive
Embellishments: Old Olive 5/89" Grosgrain Ribbon 26" (117292, page 191)
Punches: Decorative Label Punch (120907, page 25 Holiday Mini 2010)
Stamp the Old Olive in Old Olive Ink for teh background. I stamped "off" to give it a very subtle look. This means you ink up your stamp, stamp on a piece of scratch paper and then stamp on your cardstock. Looks like a "watermark" on your card stock
Add your piece of ribbon. Adhere Cajun Craze which is where you will mount yoru picture (5 1/4" x 7 1/4"). Stamp sentiment and punch out with Decorative Label Punch. Adhere to the Early Espresso piece cut 2 1/4" x 1 1/2". Stamp leaf and acorn on Very Vanilla Card Stock/ But out and mount with Dimensionals.
