Stampin' UP Workshop Book-A-Thon

Elegant Soiree/Cute by the Inch Class

 
This next Thursday, October 14th we will be having the Elegant Soiree/Cute by the Inch class locally.  In this class, you will be making six cards plus a lovely little bag to put them in.  These make wonderful gifts, or use the cards yourself and give the bag away filled with goodies!!

I found this really easy One Sheet Wonder online - I used the Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper for this set and it's really fun and cute to boot :)

To make the black frame, start out with a piece of Basic Black Card Stock that measures 3 13/16" square.  To make the scallops all around, start with the Scallop Edge Border punch and punch out each corner.  Then line up the Scallop Trim Border punch and punch between the corners.  Gretchen Barron has a wonderful tutorial on her blog here to see how this is done!  Then line up the 4 1 3/8" squares inside the scallop square you have made.

My Birthday Ice Cream Cone!!

Last Saturday I was in Portland for the club meeting.  My downline, Shelly, came and she brought me this DARLING Ice Cream Cone birthday card cone.  I just LOVE it - don't you?

 

It's made with one Scallop Square Die cut in the Big Shot (115950 page 207) and run through the Perfect Details Texture Plates (115962, page 215),  and three  2 3/8" Scallop Circles Extra-Large Punch (118874, page 200).  Shelly ran the circles through the Elegant Lines Textured Embossing Folder.  She used Very Vanilla for the and Pretty in Pink for the "ice cream".  Isn't that just the cutest thing?
