I just love the "out-of-the-box" ideas for any products and especially the Stampin' Up Punches. The new Two-Step Extra-Large Owl Punch is just SO cute!! I have done some cards using the owl punch and made owls (fancy that :), and you can see them here and here. This time at my last workshop with Julie we used the Owl Punch and made a birthday card with flowers!!
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370, page 157)
Card Stock: Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Whisper White, Lap of Luxury Designer Series Paper (120436, page 174)
Ink: Old Olive, White Gel Pen (105021, page 195), Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker (100079, page 166)
Embellishments: Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon (109070, page 191)
Punches: Two-Step Extra Large Owl (118074, page 200), Two-Step Extra-Large Bird (117191, page 202), Modern Label (119489, page 202), Word Window (119847, page 2020)
We punched out six owls - two of each color in Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight and Rose Red. We cut off the feet (can be used as eyelashes for a feminine owl!!). We layered the two colors with dimensionals. We then cut out the stem and leaves from the Two-Step Extra Large Bird Punch - added the stems and leaves and then mounted the tulips with dimensionals over the stems. A very simple , but really fun card!!
