We went to a graduation party today - this young man has just grown up TOO fast. Can hardly believe he is already through High School. I wanted to make a money holder - I don't have a current graduation set, so used a retired one - but love the money holder idea. Very simple and quick to make.
Inside of money holder - the belly band on the left
Stamp Set: Tassle Time (retired)
Card Stock: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Real Red
Big Shot: Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (119976, page 24 Summer Mini)
This Lattice textured impressions embossing folder is quickly becoming my favorite :)
Here are the dimensions for the money holder
Basic Black Card Stock cut at 7 1/8" x 7 1/2" and scored at 2 3/4" and 5 3/4" on the 7 1/8" side.
Fold on score lines and then using your 1" circle punch, cut out half a punch on the small side which will be the "window" for the money to show through. Using either snail or sticky tape, tape up this end and insert the bills.
For the front, I added a piece of whisper white card stock cut 7 1/4" x 2 1/2". I then cut a piece of real red card stock 7: x 2 1/4" and ran it through the lattice textured impressions folder - it wouldn't all fit in for one run-through, so I turned the end around and ran that through again.
I stamped "Congratulations" on whisper white and applied it over the real red embossed piece.
For the belly band, I cut a piece of real red card stock 7" x 1" and scored it at 1 3/4" and 4 3/4". I folded this piece around the money holder and then applied snail. I stamped the hat on a piece of whisper white and framed it with real red and basic black and attached it to the belly band.
For the inside I stamped "The Hassle was worth the Tassle" and mounted it on real red card stock and adhered it to the inside.
Simple as that. Let me know if you have any questions!
